I have never seen Dune. Should I add that to my list of must-see movies? Not that I actually have a list of movies that I should see that I never have seen. I think I need to make more lists. My new year's resolution is now going to be to make more lists. It will probably just end up with a lot of lists of things I will never do though. Have you made a new year's resolution yet?

It would be really nice to see some sort of pop-up shop style team store at the Omni. I wonder if something like that is in the works.

Also within walking distance from there would be Press Box Grill, the new Worthington Bar (upstairs from Campisis) and Scotty's Elm Street Saloon (good sports bar and pool table kinda place). So, plenty of options that are all walkable from City Tavern along main and elm streets.

Yeah, City Tavern is great, and there are several other places you can walk to from there along Main Street. O.E. Penguin is right next door and upstairs. Union Park has a pretty good beer selection right across the street from City Tavern.

This is a first for me. I was a bit out of touch with NT athletics generally after I graduated in 97 though about 05-06 after I moved back to Dallas from Houston.

I just spoke with someone at 1400 Hi Line (20ish story apartment building at the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway and I-35E), and she so happens to be a UNT alum. She is working to find out what can be done to get the lights changed to green for NYE, and she thought it was a great idea. We shall see if this gets anywhere.

I got word back from councilman Adam Medrano regarding the Omni hotel: "Ok I was able to get confirmation that the Omni Hotel will have UNT in lights."

The last one was a few years ago.

I sent an email to Dallas City Councilman Adam Medrano whose district covers part of Downtown Dallas and is a UNT alum to see if he could help get the word out to any businesses that have the ability to change their lights to green.

I just thought of another one. The new 1400 Hi Line Apartments which is right as you come off of southbound Tollway at Stemmons has color-changing LEDs as well.

The Foundry isn't really a part of Trinity Groves though. Trinity Groves is a development by Phil Romano and others. It would be nice if they would add it to their events listings. http://www.trinitygroves.com/events-listing/ Also, the event is specifically at Babb Bros. which is across Singleton from the rest of the Trinity Groves development.
