Well, I live downtown, so yes, I am downtown basically every day and can see Reunion Tower from the roof of my building. I guess I just hadn't noticed it before--that or SMU doesn't win too much. As to the Craig James reference, I had actually been down at the SMU Blvd. prior to (and during since so many don't go into the games there either) the game with some friends of friends one of whom played for SMU back in the 80s. I was fortunate enough to be in the in the presence of the great Craig James when he stopped by for a bit. It was the first time during the day I wanted to vomit. On a better note, Eric Dickerson stopped by as well, and that was worth getting an autograph. PS (edit): And yes, I was wearing a Mean Green t-shirt while there.

Not really DMN related, but it is close enough to their office: I almost wanted to throw up inside my car when I was driving home Saturday night from watching the North Texas game with a friend and saw Reunion Tower lit up red and blue with white SMU scrolling around it. I thought about turning around and driving up to Denton to cleanse myself with some green.

From Steve McCauley's FB page this morning: "And I thought I would go ahead and give you a rough outlook of next week. Chaos levels ( i.e., the thing that makes it very difficult to forecast more than just a couple days out) remain high with regards to the timing of next week's cold front, but at least there are good indications that the front will bring a high chance of rain to the area. "But it is the timing that still eludes us. Will it be Wednesday and leave us with a dry Halloween, or will it wait until Halloween itself? Most of the data is favoring Wednesday, but again with chaos levels so high, we can't be sure. Let's just hope the chaos is not showing us phantom rain chances, (i.e., rain chances that aren't really there at all!)"

I still really want it worked into the beginning before the team runs onto the field. As loud as that was at the end with the game in hand, it is better at the beginning from the intimidation standpoint. It says, hey, welcome to North Texas road team. This is our house, and we are gonna be loud tonight. Doing it early, also gets both sides on the stadium in the yelling mood.

I don't think you have to pretend--even if it was a small part. Just keep the momentum going with it. I think you are doing a really great thing.

I loved the chant too, but dangit, I wish we could get that in the time between national anthem and the team coming into the stadium.
