Being that this is a football forum and we talk conference football talk, this was interesting to me. I am very interested in that UAB vs MeepMeepU . I like G5 games of interest. I'd like to see UTSA lose to UAB and lose to UNT and if we had a time machine to lose to everyone before that... However, I will settle for UTSA losing and not feeling like some world beater that is being held out like Cinci. And yes, my point is that UTSA is not the top caliber opponent they think they are... as you point out with barely eeking out a victory to WKU. I know you can only play who is on the schedule and perhaps they could be beating teams in the top 50, but they haven't had the chance yet. We certainly will not be in the top 50 when we meet up.

I don't think precendent matters when dealing with non-legal issues. Precedent tells me that all the coaches before SL have been fired for just cause or not, but they all got shown the door. Employment continues based on meeting expectations, not precedents. We are talking about what we expect or ROI to be for this highly paid coach.

You are setting up the strawman - not me. I am not claiming it. Being a fan is to be imperfect. I have some opinions and hairbrained ideas about how some pathes would lead to different outcomes, but I am not saying we have across the board talent dying on the vine. I do like how some teams (like OU and UT for example) will roll out a different QB when the current one is just not having a good day. RBs get de-prioritized during a game due to various factors, I don't understand why the QB is completely immune. The only time I recall seeing Kason in real game action was against the ranked USU and he did the best of all the QBs that day. I'd like to see him in the second quarter of UTEP when Aune couldn't hit the side of a building.. If it didn't work out, then Aune could get back in there.

One example: Loren Easly started over Torrey in 2019 until Easly was injured. Not to mention, that IMO, Siggers/Attaway combo sholuld have been given the ball over Torrey. However, that is something we just will never know how it would have turned out. How about how the Murphy twins didn't even snif the field until we are needing to just 'try something new' since the older guys weren't getting it done. You don't have to dig too deep to see where age over talent has happened here.

I believe most people don't trust his ability to judge the right talent, not that he sandbagging. SL has plenty of times over the years sat on better talent while letting the older kids play.

It's more of a grey area with PB (and Gush), afaik he wasn't a part of accusations (unlike Tate) and he has a very long body of work that is clean. But even with that, no, I'm not sure i would have hired him. We've already done the come out of retirement old coach routine... I want some new energy and promotable coaches. You think we write this software? We can program the features? If you see a post from a suspect account, report it. It's a non-profit site moderated by volunteers. Ease up. There's a mechanism to report and they are handled. If you expect that during a game - when people are out watching the game - are also watching ip addresses and registration attempts, then you are expecting way too much. This is a free site. Use the tools. It works. Stop trying to call out mods in realtime.
