  1. I saw an exit for it while visiting Family in Northern Ohio. I think it's a D2 school.
  2. I saw a few people complaining to the AD about this tweet. Don't be a Karen, it's only week 1. "I'm offended, I need to speak with the manager."
  3. Not crapping on the kid, but he didn't record any stats his first game. He did show up on the participant list though.
  4. Just an update, he's listed as back up Guard on Duke.
  5. Almost my whole row on the Alumni side were Cal fans. They were very friendly and even brought me a few beers from the concession stand.
  6. Ok, so you think after 1 game against an improved Cal team that Morris is going to be Benford. That's a wild take, but yeah we did technically have a pretty balanced approach this past week. We had 27 run plays vs 26 pass plays. I do agree that we should have maybe tried to run the ball more. However, it wasn't very effective against the Cal defense. The first week is over, it's time to bury the tape (nvm I'm old it's all digital now) and move on. We're On to MIAMI!
  7. I know that every one on here has access to the game stats, but I thought I would post some of them. Interesting things to note, we were pretty balanced on offense. 26 Pass Plays vs 27 Run Plays. After accounting for yards lost, we only had 225 total yards (this needs to improve). On 3rd down, we were 2-11 or converted on 18% of the attempts. Our top tacklers were Jaylen Smith (Walk on LB-JR Canada), Jordan Brown (LB-JR Huntsville), Patrick Smith (DB-rFR Sugar Land), LB Ethan Wesloski (LB-rFR Mckinney), and Harold West ( DB-JR Arlington). We had 0 sacks,6 QB hurries, 4 pass break ups, 1 INT, and 1 Fumble recovered. I didn't post the yards the defense gave up, because it's too early to start drinking again.
  8. I just went back and watched some of the highlights. There were several times that we had guys in position to make plays, and they simply missed a tackle. By the players missing the tackle, the ball carrier would then get to the next level. The really big plays were the results of our guys trying to arm tackle or make big hits and just bounce off the ball carrier. The defense needs to do a better job tackling this week. I want to see improvement from the defense over these next 3 weeks. If we don't, it is going to be a long season.
  9. That's your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it. The facts are they all transferred and were not productive this week. Poor taste or not, it is what it is.
  10. Poor taste? We could say it was poor taste to jump in the portal too. I mean it's not like I'm saying I hope they fail, I'm just posting their stats.
  11. I guess Aranda is struggling now that the guys Rhule recruited have graduated. He's a very low energy guy. I know it's only one game, but just crazy how everyone that left didn't make a splash.
  12. Yes he does, I have brain fog from last night lol.
  13. I looked at the box scores from yesterday for a few games. It seems our guys that left via the portal had minimal impact at their transfer destinations. Jake Roberts 1 catch 1 yard (Baylor) Jyaire Shorter 0 stats (Auburn) Larry Nixon 0 stats (Auburn) Var'Keyes Gumms 0 stats (Arkansas) Asher Albersing 0 stats (Cal) Cameron Robertson 0 stats (SMU) DeShawn Gaddie Jr. 1 tackle (Ole Miss)
  14. Ok, thanks for adding more context to your post. Not that it matters now, but I wish the DRC or some other media outlet have posted a list of finalists for the job (similar to 2006 and 2015). However, with that being said, Morris is the guy. We need to all get behind him for better or worse right now. It's been 1 game and we have a lot of work to do. Our next 5 games are winnable (FIU, La Tech, ACU, Navy, and Temple). If we don't see improvement, I will be concerned.
  15. So you're saying he should wear the same cool shoes that you do? Maybe you can send him some Dad shoes next week.
  16. Some interesting takes on this post last year.
  17. If we did offer him the job and he rejected us, why would it have mattered? I'm not trying to rude, but I don't understand what that would have accomplished by offering a coach a job who had no interest in coming here. In 2006 Jimbo Fisher and Jim Harbaugh were finalists for the job. We went with Todd Dodge and the program suffered as a result.
  18. Prime was a finalist for the TCU job the year that Dykes was hired. I really like him, but I just don't think it was feasible. I don't think we could have offered the funds that he wanted either. Does it suck we got our tails kicked tonight? Yes Are the next 4 games winnable? Yes We need to see improvement these next few weeks, and it's clear the roster has a few holes in it. Let's hope this staff keeps hitting DFW and the transfer portal hard.
  19. Not a bad one either. The bass from Throw It Up once fried my amplifier in my truck. Oh to be young again lol.
  20. Other than the great Musers in the morning, the Ticket sucks now. Donnie is alright, but the new host Matt McLaren is just horrible. Very arrogant with generic sports takes. Sean Bass is a great UNT fan but his show is a work in progress (see what I did there). Corby is a Oklahoma, TCU (attended but didnt graduate), and SMU fan. He's obnoxious and over the top. Corby, Davey, and Bob just don't click. Bob has great knowledge but the other 2 don't add value.
