  1. He's been running for his life most of the game. The OL was dominated that first drive.
  2. If you ever go to Dublin, I highly recommend a visit to the distillery. Myself, something on the lighter side. I usually have Miller, Coors, or a random local craft beer in my cooler.
  3. Former Trinity Euless DL Tonga Lolohea recently received an offer from our staff. He's 6'5 325 according to the TJC roster. They are currently playing him at Nose. It looks like he has offers from Charlotte, FIU, Utah State, SFA, Tarleton, Austin Peay, Houston Christian, and Texas A&M Commerce. We have had success over the years with the Juco players we get from TJC. The Euless Trinity pipeline has been good to us as well. We need size on the DL and I would be thrilled with this addition.
  4. It was cool to see @TheReal_jayDwith the shoutout in the article. Hopefully this is the last time.we face Traylor in the series. I imagine once his Van Wilder QB graduates college he moves on. Arkansas and Baylor could potentially open up next month. It will be interesting to see what transpires.
  5. The teams website doesn't work but according to Wikipedia they were 1-19 last year.
  6. If the offer was pulled after a visit, that's a huge red flag. It seems the team is buying into this new staff. We don't want to ruin it with character issues. Good on the staff if that's the case.
  7. Exactly, let's go replace him with some small slow kid from Kansas instead.
  8. We as in us fans that watch the games. I really doubt they get rid of Caponi after one year. If we don't hit the portal and JUCOs for guys that can play right away, it's going to be a disappointment. I have been saying this throughout the season on here and in my chats with other people that follow the program. I mean it's great that some of the Freshman have played meaningful snaps this year but we need guys that can contribute right away.
  9. That's a sweet smoker. A lot nicer than my $300 Oklahoma Joe lol.
  10. I imagine he gets a hall pass for the year. It's unfortunate but what can we do.
  11. A 6'5 265 DL playing at Denton Braswell. As @GMG_Dallas said above, he has another offer from UL-LA. I just watched his HUDL videos and I see why the staff went after him. He is a DL that is currently playing in the 3-3-5 in one of the biggest 6A districts (McKinney, Allen, Guyer, Prosper, etc..) in the state. It looks like they move him around on the DL. Some plays he lines up at nose and others he is lined up as a DE. It's nice to see him pushing the opposing OL around on the video. In this defense, if our DL do this, our LBs should swoop up behind them and make tackles (argument for another day). I did see he missed a couple of tackles on his highlight tape. However, the emphasis this off-season should be tackling fundamentals for the entire defense, so he will have plenty of learning opportunities. Additionally, with time with our strength and conditioning staff he get stronger/bigger . I think he will be a good rotational piece for the DL and it helps that he is already playing in a similar defense. https://www.hudl.com/profile/17981766/Matthew-Reed
  12. Iowa St had a solid defense with the proper players. Our current defense is made up of walk ons, undersized players, former p5 back ups, juco guys, redshirt and true freshman. The number 1 selling point should be playing time and number 2 should be creating your own path. Come here and succeed, you will get opportunities for either P5 NIL money or chance to play in NFL/XFL.
  13. We're smaller and slower than them. It doesn't help we are running a defense that we don't have the players for. Next week against UTSA will determine if we make a bowl or not. Remember last year when Memphis only beat us by 10?
  14. Thanks for the added context! Agreed, these next few weeks are going to show how good this team really is.
  15. The turnovers hurt us that game for sure.
  16. I'm hoping we hit the portal hard this off-season. I was impressed with his film, however I would rather have a few guys that can play right away. Our offense is so explosive that if we can shore up the defense, we will be in business next year.
  17. As we progress through the season, do you see the staff prioritizing a certain position in the transfer portal? I'm assuming it will be in the front 6-7 (DL/LBs)on defense but just curious as to what you are hearing.
  18. Tulane 49 UNT 31 Me- anger that we are 3-4 on the verge of being 3-5
