I don’t get it either. ESPN had an article about them and they referred To SMU “returning to their glory days” and then immediately talk about those glory days being the early 80’s. And what always amazed me is the SMU people that also refer to 1982 with such warm memories. It completely destroyed their program and should be a shameful, embarrassing time in their history. But they’re actually proud of it. Ironically, imbedded in the ESPN story was a link to “Pony Excess”. mind boggling…..

I'd be curious about this too. No one knows that coach O is a good recruiter yet. So far he's just active on twitter. Let's see results before we claim how great Coach O is. Us wanting him to be a good recruiter doesn't mean he is a good recruiter. I wasn't offended by his "receipts" comment. I was embarrassed....for our university. Imagine someone looking at that tweet that's not associated with UNT. They have to be thinking "LMAO....they get blown out and aren't even competitive and this clown gets on twitter and starts talking noise. YIKES." I don't think the fans need to calm down.....seems like Coach O needs to calm down. And you know.....do his job better. I just thought is was embarrassing and made UNT look bad.

The name of the school on your pay stubs is the name of the school on our diploma(s) which WE paid for. Well said I mean holy crap. I can’t take another AD with this “it’s the alumni and fans job to to their part, don’t worry about our performance.” For crying out loud this is the 3rd one of these in a row. I’m not going to be lectured by another AD. This attitude is why I STOPPED donating and told them to stick their club seats. And I’m not the only one. How can they be so full of themselves How about let’s don’t get blown out again. Let’s maybe do that.

My receipt says that staff got embarrassed yesterday in every possible way. I truly hope he can pull those receipts. I can promise him I love this university more than he does. So do your job

I stopped being mad about this football program a long time ago

If they win I’m gonna be happy and support the team. if they lose I’m gonna piss and moan and support the team. How’s that?

I’m not talking about Eric Morris. I’m talking about Jared Mosley. Before I get the “it’s one game” I KNOW IT’S ONLY ONE GAME. And no I’m not saying FIRE JARED MOSLEY!” That’s dumb. And I know he can’t coach BUT ultimately he is in charge of all things athletics for UNT. Again, I know it’s one game, but if that wasn’t 73 points to OU bad it was close….EVERYTHING went wrong yesterday and I don’t know how you make our defense grow in one week Morris is Mosely’s hire. He’s responsible. He has to be held to the same standard that ADs before him were. (Or should’ve been) I’ll give him a little bit of a break since our last AD that no one was allowed to criticize hauled ass and didn’t want to deal with our last football coach. But the Buck now stops with Mosley. If Morris crashes and burns, that’s on the current AD. Still a lot of football left…..but I’d be a little nervous if I were the AD. We come back from FIU 0-2 and Datcu Stadium will be empty for the rest of the season….this game is actually really important When are we starting that fancy new weight room? We got the money yet?

Truth on the flip side…..oof I don’t want to think about what happens if it doesn’t go well. Week 2 vs a bad FIU team is all the sudden super important for Morris. If we don’t fix it this week:

The obvious answer to the original question is Todd Dodge because of the defensive performance. However it was also very Seth Littrell because we played a team that wasn’t FCS or a bottom 10 team. And when Littrell played anyone but those teams not only did he never win but he always got blown out. So we got a little bit of BOTH today. 2 for 1. Sweet.

But how was the language on the sidelines.

Isn’t this GJ Kinne’s first year in San Marcos? Was he available for us? Did we interview him?

I’ve been following this program for a long time. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a defense so teeny tiny. How is a defense this small supposed to compete. Why would anyone do anything but just line up and run over that defense. You can’t put a scheme in place to make up for a defense full of 5’10” 190 lb players. And Booger Kennedy was in the stadium today but he sure wasn’t on the field.

Ok I may calm down a little there….. I think we’ll draw better than UAB appears to have drawn in Dilfer’s debut but to say we’ll fall to the bottom of the P5s is a bit much since we already are technically at the bottom of the P5s. But we’ll still be ahead the rest of the non P5s which won’t draw either…. My point was Dilfer at UAB is ALL hype and even then, the hype didn’t bring fans out to his first game. I think he’s a joke of a hire…..we’ll see how that unfolds.

Crowd looks horrible. All the Dilfer hype, new conference, new stadium, weather not an issue…. Not a good look Hope Datcu can overcome the heat Saturday.
