well, I don't think they wanted to stop the run more than they wanted to win the game..otherwise, you are pretty much on the money from my viewpoint...this was the score with 3 turnovers...if we had not had that, then we wouldn't have won...we are going to have to setup our game (offense) if we want to win more than 6 games this year.

yes...the play calling sucks and when we get a lead...conservative...then we get hammered,...now behind...too slow to develop the urgency we need...we lose...too little too late...I could see this plan in place in the first qtr against Troy...almost happened tonight...so is Mac not able to see the problem....most the people on this board seem to be able to see it.

absolutely pathetic....get ready to have ass kicked by WKU, La Monroe, et al. Play calling not so good...TD...well you know. What about the 5-7 yd slant?...try that guys...and those bubble screens, when we need 7-8 yds...not liking it....our def looked pretty good, but this offense is just anemic.

Don't know the current attitude...UTA is an excellent school, but sports wasn't a big part of it when I was there...football was good enough to beat TCU at the time and they did have some talent, but it was eliminated by Dr Nedderman (?) because there just wasn't enough interest and support....I liked football and tried to make every game I could...when I finished at UTA i picked UNT partly because of this guy named Hayden fry and the meangreen were really good... just to the north a few miles....no regrets. People I knew from UTA never go back or support the school because they have no football and now no connection, unlike UNT. I guess UTA was a stop over for many the way to grad school, med, law, etc.

As a UTA alumnus, I just don't see it happening...they didn't have any support when they were playing football, doubt they will now...it a culture thing. Just where are they going to get the money. Look how difficult it is for UNT to build a program with assets and support. I don't see myself ever going to any of the games...I prefer UNT. Wonder how attendance will be with BB ;and the new arena? My bet...lacking. But gotta say...the cheerleaders are HOT. I wish them luck.

I hope the admin is emailing, notifying the UNT alumni in the Houston area. When Dr B made her tour to Houston, there was probably 200 people showed up for that...maybe they would like to make the game, but first need to know about it

You want attendance... you better beat Houston...otherwise LaLa and ESPN will look like night of the living dead.....read that as no one in the stadium.

I tend to think 4-8 team as well.....one week it is special teams, then TD, then ????? Inconsistance play doesn't win champonships and bowl bvids.

I have to agree....UNT was on a roll , even with losses..but they were showing they were tough and could play with the big guys...then they look like total crap in front of the home crowd...I never leave games early..just couldn't take it any more...hit the exits early in 4th qtr...spent a lot of time and money to come see this game from Houston....it was a bore and money poorly spent...last game in Denton for me this year...offense was terrible...looks like a TD team with same BS excuses after game...I will go to the Houston game since Im in Houston....but this program has been down sooooooo long, hard to take a loss when it was sooooo pathetic....just pathetic.

Thats been what I was thinking...what happen to the quick slant over the middle for 7-10 yrds...could have used that many times in Troy game...would prevent DT's overthrowing receivers on the intermediate and long passes...and they are hard to defend...you will probably see that from WKU and Monroe.

Those were might thoughts as well....the offense looked like a high school team. With such poor play of special teams and D Thompson...it was a sure loss and I could see that happening in the 1st qtr...thats right...I could see what was happening and knew it would not change. Also, not entertaining in the least. While I support them...I just am not willing to spend 10 hrs on the road, the gas, the hotel, food, etc to drive to Denton and watch them play...it felt good to be back, but the game was a huge let down....If I lived near Denton, I would be back next time....but i don't. It hard to believe they played so bad in Apogee...with everyone supporting them....You could see the problem with the offense in the TSU game...they should have had another 14-21 points against them...they didn't.I thought the play calling against KSU was great....I thought the play calling against Troy was bad overall..OK at best....it sure was not on par with the KSU game. The defense looked very good...except there was not much pressure on the QB and they gave up the big plays...anyway if they don't get it together, La Monroe and WKU will make them look bad...basiclly I talking aobut the offense, special teams and secondary.
