CMJ...this is classic panic attack...did you wake up feeling this way?...do you have a cardiac family history?..did you have chest pain, breaking out in sweats (diaphoresis), arm or jaw pain, palpatations, etc.?..what tests were done in the ER?...did they do cardiac enzymes, cbc, chem panel..I'm sure they did....you probably don't need a holter monitor if you were symptomatic at the time your ekg was done and it was neg. Probably the reason you feel the docs at the ER didn't have a clue was because you symptoms are too diverse to be attributed to a certain disease or condition...other than panic attack...Im sure they did a physical exam...checked your ears, etc to r/o BPV...as to iron def...not likely in you unless you have a GI bleed...women have it because of menstruration..often DUB...men don't want extra iron..this is why you will not find iron in men's multiple vits....the CBC will show if you have anemia..if so, then you need add'l labs for w/u for iron def...if so you need a workup to find the source (ie EGD and colonoscopy) you should follow up with you primary care doc, he may want to put you on a short course of anti anxiety meds, get a stress test and cardiac doppler and discuss what might be the cause of your anxiety....from what i know here, I think anxiety is probably the right dx....good luck my friend. UNT didn't HAVE to punt on their first 3 possessions...and shouldn't have on 2 of them for sure...the writing was on the wall...in first qtr. this was a coaching error.

Hopefully our president- Rawlins- will act likewise and not let us regress...we don't need another TD situation (and Im not saying that is what we have now...lets just not end up in the same type of situation)

WOW...there is a lot to complain of....but really....the cheerleaders, dancers and band are great...direct your disappointment at RV, Dan, assist coaches or players...I for one have no problem with the time and effort these gals and guys devote to the MG...they are Great !

I did have a great time at the game and pre game...post game..not so much. The band was great..the food and beer...great...great UNT crowd...very disappointed in game...esp the play calling and coaching..their QB was so much better than DT (I do think DT is a very quality guy...so don't take that wrong) and they were much faster...and way better coached...thats right...better coached. I was disappointed in the Friday night turnout at the hotel..should have been 3 x the turnout...it was good..had fun. UNT has lots of questions to ask themselves...we need to adjust at all levels to win and to increase support....but having been around for a long time..everything except winning has drastically changed for the best since the old days. No...the time was a year and half ago.

We may have been left in a big hole because of Dodge (who is responsible for that....RV...and I still struggle to get over that..he was at UNT for a 1 and 1/2 too long for me...in fact I was against hiring him)..but I think we could be doing better with what we have if we ask ourselves the right questions...many of which have been brought up on this board.

I have been around since Fry as well, and I can say...what is obvious to the fans should be obvious to the coach...I think much of our failure is not addressing the obvious...not using the short pass, like the slant...not sseeing the big picture in the first quarter...strategically...and only using what works once, then back to the same things that don't work....if you have been around for 40 years, then perhaps you shouldn't be so tolerant...you don't exactly have time on your side either. I'll should you results oriented football programs...ie Houson....after their first loss to Texas State...off coordinator...fired....now that is demanding and expecting results...if he had been at UNT he would have been around another 3 yrs. Not saying this applies to Dan Mac...but we should expect better results and faster...there are plenty of young coaches who are itching for a chance and can make that happen. I think RV should be asking Dan...why are we doing these things so many of us have talked about on this board...does Dan really know how to win?

Thank you...just what I have been saying...we use what works ONCE...then back to the crap that isn't working...WHY?...exactly my question. I think a huge part of this is coaching. Whats wrong with you Dan? Can't you see what everyone else sees? Also something I have noticed...a lack of URGENCY when there should be some...like in the Houston game, I saw this in the first qtr...like WOW..when need to adjust to whats happening here quick or we will be so far underwater we can't recover..I'm not saying panic...but urgency.

Dodge shouldn't have been given yr 3...it was obvious he was a disaster in my opinion....Dan may have a bad season, but might not be considered a disaster and kept for season 3...perhaps half a season...we can no longer wait for 4-5 yrs for a sign of success...you have to look for the winning TREND. Dodge had NO winning trend and should have be given the axe end of yr 2....sh*t...we have a history as being a football JOKE...we can never allow this to happen again.

This is soooooo true...just unbelievable poor play calling.

I think the play calling has a lot to do with the ass whipping...sorry I have seen it too much with this coach...seems to me, what he is doing now isn't working. How many times have we needed 7 yrds for a first on a 3rd down and they throw a 5 yrd pass in heavy coverage..complete it and we are 2 yrds short...it happens all of the time .

Dan Mac situation is not like previous coaches at UNT...we have invested a lot of money in facilities, etc and have some momentum with fans and alumni....if we backslide, we lose that moemtum...and this is what I am seeing now.....this has been and old story at NT...needs to change quick.

I think the issues have more to do with play calling, being too conservative when anyone can see we are in trouble...often in the first qtr...our lack of pass coverage.

We hardly ever throw the short pass, slant over the middle, etc....Houston did this alot and kicked our ass....Someone on Dan Mac show on Mondays asked a simple question...why when we need 6 yrds on a 3rd and 6, we throw for 4 yds...ball caught...but short...punt......Dan skipped over the question, didn't answer it..complete BS...I really pissed me off he didn' address the question....I thnik he owes us answers why we can only beat a BCS school or a FAU who has only beated Wagner...whoever the hell they are.

I have to agree...I could see the poor coaching in the first quarter...we were in their field and had a 4th and 1 and he punts, when they have already showed us they run and pass at will..and he does the same thing a second time in the first qtr on a 4th and about 3-4 ...and also we have a 3rd and 20 and he throws a 7 yrd pass, and then about a 3rd and 6-7 and he throws a 35 yrd pass...overthrown of course. They stack the line and we try to run up the middle...we had several pass plays that worked well...so we used them....lets see...once....but they plays that don't work, we used over and over....anyone, I mean anyone should have been able to see what we happening in the first qtr and say...wow, we have to be MUCH more aggressive or we will get behind quick and can't catch up....I gotta say...looks alot like TD all over again....so, Im not too sure Dan is a good coach....and if he is calling the offensive plays, I would say he is a bad offense coach....Im thinking UNT will be lucky to win 4 games this year. And how long must we allow the short pass without covering it?...and DT...I know you want to throw a pass completion, but you sure need to be bette at picking the receiver...you so often pass to some completely covered and many yrds short to the down marker we need....you might as we throw the ball away...and our tempo...was so slow compared to Houston...and other teams we play....I think this was very much a coaching and play calling issue...to many poor play calling....punting on 4th and 1-4 when we are in trouble...failure to cover the short pass, no pass rush....I don't know, but I was at UNT in the 70's..thnik Fry...and since then...nothing x a short Dickey run...winning against sunbelt teams, that were a lot worse than they are now....we deserve better.

Noticed at the last game...some of the hotels were shuttling hotel guest to the sadium...you might check that out.

Well, pretty good I guess....maybe a couple of hundred...should have been 500 hundred....band , cheerleaders and dancers were great...free food, free beer...I personally had a great time....I think the football players loved the support...we will be cheering them on at the game and the tailgating will be good I;m sure...went on the million dollar bus...very nice. Talked with RV...I asked him about the hotel at apogee...he said he isn't really invovled, but believes the city has signed off on it and it will be built...I believe next year...he said all the coomponents were in place....the BB facility will be done this year...Dan Smith (also at the pep rally) raised 3.5 million in one month for the BB facility....all good guys.
