I remember a restaurant there but it wasn't a steakhouse. IIRC, just a regular diner-type restaurant.

That's true. I remember the the games of quarters I played there. The pizza, not so much.

David Crosby doesn't exist anymore but he's still iconic. Same with the Tomato and Texas Pickup IMO.

My aunt and uncle owned Whit's. It was good because it was free.

Wooten - dear lord. I spent most of my time there. Ugly as hell, and no windows in the classrooms. Like some sort of detention center. And let’s not forget the library — looked like something from East Germany. There were some bright spots though — the Administration building and the old Smith Hall that housed KNTU.
