Top 5 Reasons Seth Must Stay/Go

Just be prepared to be sold on the fact that we only have a couple senior starters and how many players from the two deep are returning in 2023 when we finish 6-6 and no news of a firing comes down the following week. -
We can absolutely run on WKU, I have no doubts the run game will see a big bounce back. But we're not built to play from behind, and I could easily see the defense giving up 42 points. Seems right to me.

To All the Players and Coaches ...
ntmeangreen11 replied to greenb.o.g.'s topic in Mean Green Football
Winners win, period. It's another dissapointing loss in a big game, after winning three easy ones. Hard to see it that way because we did play well, but we didn't play well enough, and that's what we pay $2,000,000 a year for. It really sucks because I have been the BIGGEST negative Nancy on the forum lately and I found myself cheering for Littrell today. I just don't see any way we go to WKU next weekend and pull off a victory, two losses to WKU and UAB and we might as well pull the plug. -

31-13 UTSA Prove me wrong please. -
I hadn't heard of that bridge until recently, I have no idea. But I do know I wouldn't step foot in that mansion on the west side of I-35 in Sanger. Apparently it was finally bought a few years ago and expected to turn in to a wedding venue but, again, work has stopped shortly after it started. Everyone who has tried to make something out of that mansion has had something bad happen to them. If you look on reddit you'll see stories of people exploring it and finding evidence of devil worship. You couldn't pay me to go there.

If Coach Mumbles is to return next season after miraculously winning the conference championship this should be our number one target in the transfer portal.

While we're up in arms about people who've had their jobs for far too long I can't help but wish we had a different beat writer. Softball questions, very little access to team besides weekly press conferences everyone can watch, no inside sources, and a view of where North Texas should be that's based on the past.

This has been the case for a few years now, for whatever reason we never had a big senior class which makes a big difference on the field. 20 years old vs. 22/23+ is a big difference, both mentally, experience wise, and having two or more offseasons to shape a players body. 2020: 13 scholarship seniors 2021: 7 scholarship seniors 2022: 6 or scholarship seniors, unsure if our kicker or punter are on scholarship. And again, only 16 scholarship junior players on the roster. I could be wrong on some of those numbers because of the extra covid year, but the point remains we have been devoid of large senior classes for years now.

This was in reference to Mason Fine before our meeting in 2017 and the drive by the way. I was banned on CSNBBS for screenshotting this with his exact quote and making it my signature way back then, I was told posting a forum members picture is against the rules as if I have any idea who this nincompoop is. They are CHARMIN SOFT.

I don't know who Off is but I'm not cheating on my girl. We'll see how everyone is feeling around 3 o clock next weekend.

We gave up 150 points to SMU, UNLV, and Memphis in blowout losses. We have beat La Tech (105th) , FAU (108th) , UTEP (121st) , and an FCS team. Yes, we are absolutely a laughing stock and we have not proven anything.

Before the season started PB was interviewed by Sicem365 and said we had not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 linebackers capable of playing at the next level. And our defensive line led by Coach Nepotism has been atrocious this season, although todays sacks will sway their stats. If you look at the OL/DL stats on footballoutsiders there is no question UTSA will move the ball next week while we will be lucky to score 21 points. Going to be a long day in my opinion and remind everyone what Seth Littrell football is all about.

A bowl win or loss shouldn't be relevant in terms of keeping him or not. You keep him through December 20th and beyond you keep him for next season. It would be foolish to attempt to do a coaching search, hire someone, and give him 20 days to put a class together. A conference championship is the bar for a return, that's it. If he doesn't reach that bar it will have been seven (7) seasons without a conference championship or bowl win. Not even early 2000s ULM would accept that kind of mediocrity. We pay enough to expect better.

Yes, I would be happy if we lost out last season that would mean our hack of a coach would have been replaced before this season and the new HC would hopefully be laying the foundation of a real program lead by a real coach. I agree, teams abilities do change over a season. The problem is they should be improving from game one, not reaching their floor in game 6 and hoping to reach their ceiling by seasons end. That happened last season and it didn't translate to the next. They took over games for us last year, they absolutely did. I have been a fan since 2004 and I have never seen two better pass rushers wearing green. There were actually people on this forum trying to give credit to Coach Asswaters for their success. How many defensive lineman have made a jump this season under his tutelage? That's fair, I get it. But our coach is in his seventh season, seventh. With zero conference championships, zero bowl wins, zero ten win seasons, three straight losing seasons, and an abysmal record vs. teams that end the season above .500, he's a bad coach and the sooner we cut ties the better our chances of being good in the AAC become.

I’m so tired of reading that we have won 7 straight conf. games in the worst football conference. Only one of those teams were good and we would not have won it without the Murphy twins. Go rewatch that game they destroyed their tackles. It’s nothing of note, nothing to be proud of. The UNLV and SMU games showed nothing has changed.

And again it's mind blowing that whoever's in charge of that account is another American so consumed with politics that they got their panties in a wad over a tweet and couldn't dare take the time to see which account they were logged in to before replying.

Seriously? Who's in charge of that account? Why are they replying to political tweets on it? I didn't love the announcement of RV being in charge of NIL, I appreciate that he still cares about UNT and I don't wish any ill will on the guy, but he wasn't some great salesman or fundraiser in his time here. At a time where every move is crucial especially NIL related why do we bring back someone we fired to be a part of it?

To battle for the G5 playoff spot, every year. No excuses we will be in the best conference besides the P5, there is no excuse for that to not be the goal.
