Soccer Chicks need a big win on Sunday

I haven't been as banged up as the soccer chicks, now Carter is out with an ACL, but I've been down with an old injury for the last two weeks. I haven't been able to make any games during all of October, but even with all the injuries, 4 or 5 knees and one broken leg, they still pulled off a 1-1 tie with SMU currently unranked, but has been as high as 12 during the year.

A number 2 seed will mean that we don't have to face Denver currently ranked 15th nationally until the championship game. To get that seed we need to beat FIU Sunday afternoon. Frankly the game will be harder than I would have thought. FIU comes to Denton having missed a number of league games, (and the injuries that go with them) but we should still be favored on our home field. A big crowd would be great, and this is the last home game this year.

God willing and the creeks don't rise I will be there, and I will look forward to meeting anyone from the board who can make it. I'm easy to spot, I'm the biggest guy out there with a cane, and if it's not raining I'll have on my lucky Longhorn golf hat! Rain or shine I'll have on my Green North Texas Soccer shirt.
