Try this. Have a drawing before kickoff for all registered students (is there any other kind ?) and give away free tuition equal to the number of hours the winning student is taking the previous semester. Or up to 12 hours for a new, but not previous student. Then have the same drawing sometime late in the 4th quarter. It wouldn't help with alums, but all students should feel a need to be in attendance and stay until the end. Maybe a random drawing during the middle of the game. Ref to NT03-Everyone buy season tickets. That would be a great tradition: "If you want Mean Green Tickets, you'd better get in line now, because, 'it's a tradition at North Texas-Everyone buys season tickets.' " At the risk of ending a (bad) tradition, could we avoid the playing of our fight song in an "om pa pa" rhythm. It sounds like, to me, that the band is making fun of our fight song.

I've been partial to Interstate Stadium, or Interstate Battery Stadium for some time. It would be named for Interstate Battery, but would also tie in to Plumm's "between two Interstate highways" as well as telling the address within the name. I've been a season ticket holder for about 25 years. And I've typically gone to one or two "big" road games per year. Plus 4 New Orleans Bowls. I would guess 125 or 130. Shamefully, I've never been to a conference game on the road, with the exception of games at UTA when we both were in the Southland. Oh, and I'm going this year too. I got this today (Sat). It's a way to determine who can buy out of town games. Season ticket holders get points for this and prior years (up to 5 years-2 points per year), and 1 point per $100. contribution to the Mean Green Club. Point ranges are 1-10 11-49 50-99 and so on. Each point range allows that season ticket holder to purchase up to 2 tickets, (1-10) 4 (11-49) 6 (50-99) and so on. I went last April. Got to meet NT alum NM Green while there. But it's a very long trip. When we arrived, all we wanted to do was rest. We went non-stop on the way over ("direct" is an airline industry term for "at least one stop") and stopped in Los Angles on the way back.
