Tomato tomatto It's not black

I thought the response from the guy at Athletics was interesting so I went to the Under Armor site. I looked around for a moment and then clicked on "apparel" and then to "warm ups." Up popped a green and white warm up jacket that went with the green and white warm up pants. Now it didn't say North Texas or Angels on it but it was a pretty green. Looked like the same green that our team wore last Saturday night. Go Stadium GO MEAN GREEN

The show started at the Sun Belt Basketball conference in Hot Springs AR. Johnny spoke and by the way, this morning's D R-C had NT picked to win the Sun Belt West. Coach Dodge talked about the costly turnovers Saturday night. The funmble after the reception at the 50 and the Cam Montgomery fumble near the 15. Also, the decision to play conservative in the last series after the LA LA turnover just before the end of the half. Coach Dodge said he did not want to let LA LA score on the last possession before the hslf. Something we've had a problem with. He said he might have been too conservative. I would have thrown 4 balls into the end zone and hoped we could cover if an interception was given up, but that's me. The best thing I heard last night was when George asked Todd if he'd gotten any calls since Saturday night. Todd said he'd gotten a call from Mac Brown. Mack reminded Todd that he (Mack) had gone 2-20 his first 2 years at North Carolina. If Mack can do that at NC I feel sure than Todd can do it here. Go Stadium GO MEAN GREEN

Not that I can vote, but what are the mechanics of next week's vote? My son is a senior at NT and I want him to vote first thing Monday morning. And I also want to tell students I meet that I think will vote for the stadium issue where to go vote. GO STADIUM GO MEAN GREEN

I wonder if the "uproar" about the athletic fee increase will bring out any more students to see what this football thing is all about ? Wouldn't it be funny if they came, enjoyed themselves, and voted yes because of the experience ? GO MEAN GREEN

I don't want to play a 1-AA team for the reasons UNT90 pointed out. But, if we do play a 1-AA team, is should only be at Fouts or whatever the new stadium is called. There is no reason to play a home and home with a 1-AA. Our fans should have every opportunity to watch the Mean Green at home. If it's a "sure win" then it needs to be before the home crowd. I hope to see everyone Saturday GO MEAN GREEN

Funny King DL would mention this topic. My wife brought up the fact (?) that we started our downhill slide when the tortillas were banned from the stadium. She thought they were funny. As for copying Texas Tech, that's what makes it a funny bit. Remember, we got tortillas thrown at us all through that game. Ended up winning, and threw them back at the Tech fans. Ahhh. Memories. The Lab School is / was located on the North East corner of Highland and Avenue C. The East side of this building, by the way, is the sitte of the football field prior to Fouts Field. It too had a track around the field.

Great idea. Post this on facebook. I just knew that this video wa available directly (as opposed to the recording made by a fan at the Tulsa game). I noticed Dibrell coming out of the tunnel and then making the touchdown catch from Vizza. And as for my favorite poster, Quoner, I don't necessarily expect representatives from the University of North Texas to wear green all the time. But most of the time. If this is too difficult, perhaps they should not work for a university whose nickname is Mean Green. Look for me tomorrow. I'll be the guy wearing green. Dodge blamed UNT's blocked extra point and field goal on Jeremy Knott not getting the ball high enough off the ground. Isn't this always the reason kicks are blocked ?

I know and like Craig Miller. But we've got plenty of alums like him. It's too bad that he has such a public arena for his distain for NT, but he does. While I like him, I don't listen to him during cloodge football season. Which also means I don't get to listen to George, the biggest fan NT could have with the same public forum. GO MEAN GREEN

Here's an idea. And it's free. Write a letter to the editor to the Denton Record-Chronicle. There have been 2 letters opposing the new stadium fee (the last one today 9-29) and an editorial with an opposing slant to it. Only one guest editorial has come out. I had a great time this weekend. I really, really like Rice Stadium. It's a classic-old, but still very much up to date. We drove down Friday and were pleased to see so many North Texas fans on the way. Lots of "Talon signs." The Green Brigade was present and professional. I'm sure some think the MOB is fun. I thought they were an embarassment to a fine university. Dr. B. was at the Tailgate Owley and at the game wearing Green. She's a great asset to our University. And by the way, she sat in the heat facing the sun with the rest of us. My wife and I had a friendly disagreement as to which game weekend was the more fun--I liked LSU, while she liked Rice. GO MEAN GREEN--The first LEED GREEN stadium in the nation.

While I think more correct information needs to get oout to more people (read;students), I was told this past weekend by the AD and by the President of the Student Body that we, as alums, should not do anything to try to influence the vote. This is hard for me becausae I am so passionate about a new stadium, but I trust the people in charge and I hope that is the correct thing to do. I'd hate to go against what I was told to do, and then find out that a favorable vote is void because of something I did. GO MEAN GREEN PS I was told voting could ONLY be done on line. That there would be not "paper" ballot. j
