  1. I know it seems weird to be in on this kid....but in JJ i trust....if our staff wants him, then they either see a dimond in the rough...or a perfect fit or the team off the bench!
  2. I wasn't here for the Dickey Days...but from everything i understand the program is much much better overall then it has been in years....the only thing missing is the transfomation of the Win/Loss record....Dodge may not be the guy to get us the wins but i do think we owe him a debt of graditude for cleaning up this program and energizing the fan base....now lets get a big name coach, win some games...and put us on the national map with a great team and great stadium....its all good and all green! Some come and Some go..... But North Texas is forever! Go Mean Green!
  3. We have got to have a proven coach with a track record of turning around programs and someone who can energize the fanbase. I have been a Dodge supporter and think he has done wonders for some parts of the programs ( cleaning it up, getting students to class, being a class act ect...) but in the long run wins and losses are what determanis a successful football program and nothing else. I would personally like to see us hire Dennis Franchione, though im not sure we could get him here. He was successful at of all places, Pittsburg State, Texas State (back when it was SW Texas State), New Mexico and TCU....if he can do it at those places...he can do it here at a growing Univeristy of 36,000 + with a brand new stadium and a dedicated athletics fee. Plus he has experience recruting in Texas and would be a name that would get us some national attention (something we are needing.) I hope RV makes a list of former college HC's and calls them all untill he gets one, an up and coming OC or DC is just not what this program needs right now. Go Mean Green!
  4. record crowd of over 1,200.....it was a great atmposhere...just wish we could have won
  5. Put it this way...i grew up in New Hampshire and my Dad in Boston...he raised me as a DIE HARD Red Sox Fan... to this day i am still a die hard Red Sox fan but have now lived in Texas for 5 years and really enjoy the Rangers. I'm still a Sox fan first and even though i do go to ranger games from time to time with Texas gear on...if they ever played Boston i would have my Sox hat on and be booing the rangers...but it doesn't mean i cant be a fan of the Hometown team. The rangers needed the fans and so does North Texas.

  8. Agree with Matt 100%...but also heard several time in the last two days "same old north Texas football...cant beat anyone" and it aggravates me to no end....WE MUST WIN AND WE MUST DO IT NOW!
  9. now im not posting a name just cause you want me to! ha
  10. WHY WOULD YOU GIVE RILEY THE BALL ON 3RD AND 2 ON A DRIVE YOU MUST SCORE ON.........THIS COACHING STAFF KILLS ME. WE HAVE LANCE FING DUNBAR....HAND HIM THE DAM ROCK.
  11. I was two weeks into high school in New Hampshire....sitting in second period English, our principal came over the loud speaker and said the towers in New York have been hit and that she would get back to us with more information. My teacher said screw that and we went to the empty class room next door and tried to use their TV's but it didn't have any channels (just used for videos)so we turned on the radio and listened to them talk as the second plane hit and the pentagon got hit...finally about 2 hours later after the towers had fallen they let us watch it on TV in the auditorium. Scariest thing about it was the girl in my class running out of the room screaming because her dad worked in one of the towers....i will never forget this day and were i was....God Bless America and everyone who lost their life on 9/11

  19. My first one was my first year on campus...FAU @ UNT here at Fouts in 2007....we lost in the 4th quarter in the home debut of "dodge ball"
  20. In the second half....we only had the ball maybe 5 minutes of the 45 minute half....and im being generous with that...we had 2 shots on goal that half....they dominated possession and yet we were able to earn the tie so yes ill say its good.
  21. I felt that the interior D-Line...Atkinson and Jackson...were really good other then that first blown run right up the middle for a TD. Clemson ganed almost all their yards on the outside....the interior run D was stout for the most part.
  22. NOT IMPRESSED with your posting!!!!
