  1. Last time we had an unquestioned leader sitting on the sideline he was coaching a freshman named Jamario Thomas. Ya never know.
  2. Re-opening would make perfect place for Taco Mayo nostalgia thread hijacks.
  3. Thanks Rick. With my limited knowledge of this year's WRs, who do you think is the most athletic of the bunch? I'm with Lantern: I loved Roberson when he signed, and really hope he can put everything together like I believe he can.
  4. Don't be silly. We're scoring more than Buick's offense, right?
  5. We've been down this road before. Let's rehash, shall we? DFW market is not the same as Stillwater. Our conference vs. their conference budgets. opponents. our previous administrations. This is going to be a long way up, friends. We'll be out of this recession before we can count on 25K+ Mean Green fans every Saturday, win or lose. Right now the best thing we can do is start fixing our product. Start winning.
  6. He'd be getting more attention if we were winning.
  7. FYI, http://www.lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm My favorite CFB schedule site.
  8. So now all we gotta do is one-up that and secure no. 7. C'mon JJ!
  9. To add some perspective on this, between the 10 players in our two-deep we can count 100+ starts under their belts. That puts us in the top-10 nationally under this stat. UTEP returns their entire 2 deep except for their all-CUSA center Felix, and they still add up about 85 starts IIRC (Phil Steele is the source of these numbers). I look at returning experience in the trenches as one of the most consistent indicators of a team's upcoming success. With these numbers on the offensive side, and Nelson helping DeLoach in year 2 of this defensive system, there is no reason not to expect at least moderate improvement. Any other team and I would be drooling at the idea of near lock for a bowl. But the past two years under Dodge has me in believe-it-when-I-see-it mode. Just think: Dodge has everything he needs now to win his second FBS game! [/sarcasm]
  10. There's gotta be some mass anti-Denton conspiracy in here. What are the odds the NCAA panel is made up of the same council voting against city development? If not, can we at least get a look-a-like thread? I'm tasting football already.
  11. When you have 100 million more dollars to give you can hire a dedicated resource to get the docs through expeditiously.
  12. I want to see examples where the council has voted in favor of Denton development.
  13. Can we expect a 20 - 30 point swing in our favor due to the following: DeLoach year 2 + Nelson on staff (perhaps shaving opponents scoring by 2 or 3 possessions?) Tight End + Riley + snaps under center ("If the situation calls for it"...wtf) equate to higher redzone conversion %. Hypothetical (unless someone really does want to do this math): What would a 3 - 5 possession swing in our favor have done for our record last year?
  14. NFL overtime rules. Bitch all you want about how long the 2007 FIU game was, at least each side is given a fair chance to answer/win. I also wouldn't mind giving some power to the men upstairs to review/overturn certain calls, such as pass interference.
  15. If anyone gets 100+ yards on us next season it will only be because DeLoach spit them for 80.
  16. You are clearly new to this NCAA playground.
  17. Nothing new here. Plenty of holes in this rehashed topic. It'll be interesting to see where he puts USF and his alum, Mizzu.
  18. It's not uncommon for grads to have to work in a field unrelated to their degree.
  19. I thought it was two good RBs and a mobile QB.
  20. This thread definitely took a wild turn.
  21. If we are going to start winning some games, we will need to be putting it in the endzone more than the other team. If they are scoring 70+ points on us, than so be it! "Riley, go score 71 for me!" - Todge* Is it so far fetched when he's already asked Vizza to throw for 7,684,190 TDs vs Navy?
