  1. Our university doesn't know how to at least act big time, much less be big time. Never has, probably never will. Small thinking = underachieving and a culture of losing.
  2. If practices are closed, why post an ad with the practice schedule? They should just go ahead and close the spring game as well for that matter.
  3. Hiring Gillespie would give us instant cred and probably wouldn't cost that much either. I wonder if RV knew he was at Ranger?
  4. MGB: Coach does not rule out staff changes Oh, that should help...
  5. I love this time of year with March Madness in full swing. I miss the days when we could look with at least some pride at our FB and BB programs and I miss going to games on campus. I'll give the women a chance next year because it looks like Jalie knows what she's doing. No reason the women should suffer attendance wise because the men's program sucks.
  6. Trust me, you are not alone. You are expressing what a lot of us "diehards" feel right now. I too, have not bought BB season tickets in two years and haven't even attended a game during that time. As many have said before, we are a joke, a punchline when it comes to athletics. It's embarrassing to say anything related to NT athletics. People just sort of look at you funny when you do and usually have no reply because we are irrelevant. This may very well be the worst time in NT athletic history since we dropped down to 1-AA. Yes, many can point to the upgrade in facilities and I agree with that. But what good does it do to have all these nice facilities if no one is attending events. I agree that RV's time has passed and it is time to infuse new blood into this thing before it becomes terminal. We all better pray that Littrell is the answer for football. I'm sick and tired of perpetual rebuilding and the perpetual wait for "next year." I haven't renewed for FB either and may very well not. We'll see, but for the first time in forever, I am not excited for much of anything related to UNT.

  8. Don't do it. With Hillary you can kiss the Second Amendment goodbye, say hello to a liberal slanted SCOTUS and sharia law. With Trump, you can at least hope that he stays with the American tenant.
  9. Threads like this remind me of the recent Republican debates. We have become so divided, that we fight amongst ourselves to the point that it becomes childish and tit for tat. We, as do most Americans, want a government that functions in all our best interests. But like our federal government, we have a dysfunctional athletic department that seems indifferent to the wants and needs of it's constituents. Therefore, we fight amongst ourselves when we all want the same thing. To win. However, that requires effective leadership with a vision which has been sorely lacking in both instances. Perhaps we can come together as a nation, and also a Mean Green Nation, to once again achieve greatness. Hopefully a leader will emerge to do just that. GO MEAN GREEN!
  10. I have completely given up on UNT BB after being a season ticket holder for many years. Haven't been to a game the past two seasons. I just can't stomach the bad product that is trotted ( or waddled) out there. God bless our players, but Benford is a joke and I will not watch his antics. And after 10 out of 11 losing seasons of very bad football, I've just about come to the same conclusion. At this point, I have no intention of continuing my support for an athletic department/administration that will not commit to winning. I sincerely hope Coach Littrell can turn it around, but I have no faith in a tricked up offense that is nothing more than Dodge 2.0. The inability to hire a coach that's worth a $hit in your most visible, high profile sports make me wonder, what the hell is going on? Perhaps I'll become a Houston Cougars fan. They are doing it right. Commitment to a winning coach, making it a PUBLIC goal to join the Big 12. I can only dream of something like this happening at NT. GO MEAN GREEN!
  11. In the words of Chicago Transit Authority, "...does anybody really care..."
  12. How about a coach, finally, that has head coaching experience? GO MEAN GREEN!
  13. Beating NMSU at Fouts and seeing the goal posts come down...totally thrashing Baylor, again at a packed Fouts, 52-14. GO MEAN GREEN!
  14. I see five wins with this schedule. GO MEAN GREEN!
  15. Reports coming out of high school was that Dillman runs like the wind. Didn't he return a kick off for a TD? Line him up as a big-ass wide receiver. GO MEAN GREEN!
