  1. Yep. He was rocking his UNT gear as well. C'mon Ashton, I know SMU needs immediate help, but dude... no.
  2. I'm guessing he was watching too much Steinfeld & not putting enough effort into game prep.
  3. Good Stuff. Also, SMU, TCU, & UNT are all in DFW. DFW casual fans are notorious for being bandwagon jumpers. If your team is winning, fans will come out in droves to be a part of it. If your team is losing, fans will not show up. There are aberrations to this obviously, (see UNT's attendance issues during DD's bowl run VS the increase during Dodge's tenure, & the Cowboys in general), but overall, it's proven to be true. If UNT can string together some winning seasons this time around, I'll bet we won't be scratching our heads like we were during DD's run, rather, we'll be trying to find out where to put all of the people, and re-engaging HKS & Manhattan for Apogee's phase 2.
  4. Careful! This is how people get taken-advantage of... or, if you're Wes Welker, suspended for.
  5. Um, this will be purchased by me, along with a fine brew. If any of you fart-knockers are in line in front of me:
  6. Well, I dunno know about Floroda, but if you simply ask him "How you doing today?", or "What's up with this Texas weather, huh?", he'll let you know about the one he won at Florida.
  7. For every good looking girl at Texas Tech, there are 2 at North Texas. Also, for every good looking girl at Texas Tech, there are 3 of these in Lubbock:
  8. Is this like when Planck & Einstein got together to discuss Physics?
  9. Wait, the picture shows Rahr Oktoberfest (which is delicious), but the text says a Rahr IPA (can't stand any of 'em). Fireman's 4 will be nice & refreshing while it's hot, & you can't go wrong with a Shiner. Haven't tried the Alaskan, but I like Ambers generally. THANK YOU RV!!!
  10. Oh! hold on, hold on, hold on... I've got a good one: So there was a tornado in Dallas, and everyone was told by Pete Delkus to go to Ford Stadium because the football team wouldn't score any touchdowns there.
  11. Looking forward to the temp in the 80's for gametime, not looking forward to the sun though.
  12. I would pay 2X my season ticket price to have witnessed Riley behind last year's O-line. Sadly, we would not be celebrating a HOD bowl win though, as UNT would have been 10-2 and in some other higher-profile bowl.
  13. I do too... and we've seen that displayed from our friend malonish. For us, a loss to SMU would almost certainly mean we're not capitalizing on our 2013 & HOD Bowl momentum. For SMU, and how they view us, a loss to UNT would be a catalyst for a much-needed coaching change.
  14. If SideShowJoe or I drop anything on any of you who happen to pass through the section 205 portal, please accept our most sincere apologies now... Unless you're a visiting fan... In that case, the brick that hits you is deserved.
  15. If those are my 3 choices...
  16. REALLY HORRIBLE, especially since the vast majority were on the road. 97-98: 10 games (1 home) before conference play started... guess what the record was in all of those games? 1-9 with the lone win over UALR. NT80, tell me if this is a good football schedule (UNT90, try not to duke your pants here): Week1: @ Iowa Week2: @ Alabama Week3: @ Oklahoma State Week4: @ Oklahoma Week5: Conference play begins...
  17. What a horrible showing last week. It could be a confidence-killing loss. Will Y'Barbo's words be hollow? Or, will the Mean Green bounce back offensively? SO MANY QUESTIONS! I expect this game to be MUCH different from last week. I'm expecting the offense to come out with their hair on fire. I'm hoping our mole (Rice) can contribute something to our coaches as to what SMU might do. I expect the run game to be on point. I expect our QB's will complete more passes to our guys than SMU's, but I'm also expecting at least 1-2 turnovers. SMU looked about as inept as we did last week. I don't think Baylor's defense is as good as UT's. I don't think UT's offense is as good as Baylor's, so that's a wash. Both teams were humiliated last week and will have much to prove this week. Easy formula this week: Win the turnover battle, win the game. Hopefully the recruits we're both after are attending, because, barring a meltodwn, this will be a UNT win, and could turn into multiple UNT wins... Apogee advantage will dash any hopes for the ponies. Please, please, pretty please Greer: Show us something. North Texas: 27 SMU: 17 Attendance: ~29,500
  18. He's like one of those enigmatic "non-trust-fund" kids who go to SMU. Like a leprechaun, I've heard about them, but never met one. You're alright by me malonish.
  19. Easy way to find out... Anyone on here NOT a season ticket holder, and get a call?
  20. Mr. Smith was a casualty of the poor QB play. He was the first target of the game & almost got his head chopped off by one of Greer's friendly-fire laser beams.
  21. Looks like Quoner is going to be busy this week staging "accidents" in the U.P. area.
