  1. LOL...now they know how we feel.
  2. Ummm, yes. Noticed. What are you saying? That Mac doesn't really want a balanced attack?
  3. Are the listening to the North Texas radio broadcast?
  4. It's not. It's just an easy lame excuse trotted out when coaches fail. It's like our offense, boring and predictable. At least be a little creative.
  5. Let's see....34 passing plays for 128 yards and 33 rushing plays for 112 yard. Can't get too much more balanced than that. At least the goal was accomplished, right? Oh wait, final score 31 - 13...never mind.
  6. 100 yards on the ground and 100 yards through the air, while balanced, won't win you many games.
  7. Oh no, what is this? Even Harry has thrown in the towel....a 6 win season is now the standard we aspire to? Speaking of opportunities....when have we ever capitalized on an opportunity sitting right in front of us? Yes, yes, yes, we can point to a few games here and there and the occasional season where we caught fire. For all those "here's our chance to make a statement" or "we can finally turn the corner with a good showing" opportunities, however, we always seem to miss our chance to silence the critics and win new fans.
  8. I'm not sure everyone is listening. The problem is not McNulty. The problem is our coaching staff.
  9. Really nice video about the history of UNT. Thanks for posting this Harry.
  10. At this point we're counting on the rest of the football planet being able to evaluate QB talent. Apparently a lot of those people felt strongly about this young man. Former Elite 11 quarterback... A four-star recruit in the Class of 2011... http://www.scout.com/college/western-kentucky/story/1405352-damarcus-smith-not-returning-to-wku?s=468
  11. What happens if 200 of those yards and both TDs come in the 4th against Rice's 2nd and 3rd string when the game is already out of hand? Would you be mad that no other QBs got a look?
  12. It all depends on attendance. If it is a well attended game, you know one of those "opportunity" games to make a great impression and convert a bunch of new fans into the faithful, then we lose in a laugher, a boring, one-sided, unmitigated 38-6 disaster which sees everyone walking out of Apogee in a dazed stupor. If, on the other hand, it is a sparsely attended game or becomes one by halftime with only a few of the die hard fans left to witness one of the greatest games in UNT sports history, we win 45-44.
  13. As a team we lost 7 strokes to par on #9 (7 of our 11 strokes). I haven't played the Yale course, but the green on that hole is kind of crazy with big swale crossing the middle. http://www.golfclubatlas.com/images/Yale9bg2.jpg
  14. Did he use this opportunity to mention how much we miss the MVP of the Heart of Dallas Bowl?
  15. Shouldn't this be in the basketball forum? Mods, please feel free to move.....
  16. Is it weird that I get nervous watching North Texas football even when it happened almost 40 years ago?
  17. Come on now. How does anyone get by on free tuition, room, board, books and fees alone? That's not a living wage. Try raising a family on that. It can't be done. Unfair I tell you. Something needs to be done.
  18. Would really like to see us actually take advantage of our travel to Florida and recruit the talent there a little more aggressively.
  19. You take the profit (or if you want net income) that it produces then say if I can get (or require) a 10% return on my investment, how much am I wiling to pay (the value) in order to get that return. You basically work backwards from profit and required rate of return.
  20. Is this fair? There are some fairly well-know graduates of Harvard that preach "fairness" on a regular basis. So why not start with forcing Harvard to send some our way. Just after our "fair share" you know.
  21. Hopefully UAB isn't simply ahead of the curve on this.
