I've never seen Neil or Rick show up at the Alumni Pavillion. They may have been there but I can't recall seeing them. Bet I don't see them today either.

I'm with Harry on this one. I respect and welcome the passion this topic has raised. I'm ecstatic to see we all care so much. I do, but..... There is a right and wrong way to do it. A banner is embarrassing and absolutely the most juvenile thing I've seen. Pressure Neil, it is in his lap!

I'm seriously ready for a new coach and new AD. Sorry! But tell me who else is to blame. Football is not the end of the world but it characterizes, promotes and markets the school. We are not getting the marketing we deserve for the product we have. A great school and a bad team.

I would consider a win over SMUt a huge moral victory but not a signature win.

Rivalry is a must. If you haven't noticed, we don't have one. Another strong Texas public school with a good TV market and a great travel trip both ways? It's a match made in heaven. Plus, we need somebody in Texas to beat up on a regular basis.

This could actually be the start of what could grow in to a nice Texas rivalry. SMUt and TCUnt have gotten to interested. I like San Antonio as a city. A rival would be nothing but good for both programs.

I like earlier games but what I like the best is to schedule something and stick with it. In the ealier part of the season a later games seems great based on temperature at game time. The later part of the season an afternoon game seems better weather wize. I was disappointed we crumbled at the sign of another event negatively affecting our attendance. I was pretty vocal because it negatively affected a ton of homecoming plans. There seemed to be no mention of moving or juggling anything but the game. I know that was the easiest to do but it sure messed up a lot of pre-game "organic spirit building". Just my opinion.

The challenging and rewarding wins will be ArkSt and WKY. MTSU and Troy should be winnable if we are healthy and DT gets his game on in the first quarter.

And this decision makes a big statement that undersells our program. That may be more than you can understand. Sorry about that!

I've never been unclear about where my grounding is. I couldn't care less about the Rangers when it comes to the Mean Green. If you don't believe in UNT who else will???

We can all question the QB decision if the results on Saturday don't pan out. Coach Mac is the coach and I have another full time job. I persoanally am going to let Dan coach and I'll keep my day job. I think there is too much on the line and Dan has too much at stake professionally not to play who he honestly thinks is best for the job now. The problem with outcomes is that once you have them, you better like 'em because it's too late! Dan is the best to determine now what to do to best postively impact outcomes. Go Mean Green!

I have to say booing in general is claseless. I'd rather exert my energy by cheering for the Green. Save the effort for our guys in a positive manner. Tech fans will boo a player when he is down and is helped off the field. That's really the bottom of sportsmanship. Just cheer our guys on and let's play the game.

I heard a comment, "If the PAC can get UT then they would own the Texas market" or something of the like. How could they own the Texas market with so many other reasonable schools to watch in Texas. The Longhorn Network appears to be the biggest debacle for UT at the moment especially if they leave and go to the PAC

I'll be at the game and, since I barely made it through basketball season, if this game comes down to one point I may not make it back to Dallas. I can't predict the score, nor do I think any oppnents know how to scout this team (new team under new management) correctly enough NOT to be surprised. I think we will surprise fiu and it will be a good game. We need to stay healthy ( I still remmber the domino of injusirs in the Army game last year), dominate with a "not going to give up..ever" attitude and we will be in the game till the end. Our stock will go up, the team will get a boost in confidence and the season will be off to a great start. Will we win?....sure hope so. Go Mean Green!

I'll be in Fort Lauderdale on business and plan to be at FIU around 4-5pm on Thursday. Hope we can meet up. It will be great to watch the Mean Green win this one in person!! Go Mean Green!!

I just lucked out and got sent to Fort Lauderdale on a business trip over Sept 1st. Guess I'll have something to do that night. See ya'll at the game. Gotta call the ticket office to see if I can get seat! Go Mean Green!

John, I agree but that is .... 60 minutes. Maybe the Inquirer will start doing articles on football too. I just as soon our school never be subjected to a 60 minutes spot. Leach is a big name, I agree!
