My neighbor was an SID for Burton in Commerce. He told me, “Great person, basketball player, and coach. UNT made a great hire!” I was already excited about him but now I’m jacked!

It’s definitely more money and the Big XII have great athletes, but like FAU has proven, more money does not equal better team. I wish Grant the best, but I’m not so sure “the next level” is accurate anymore.

I think we’ve known that this is Grants last run for a few days. Credit to him and the team for continuing to battle. A testament to his staff and the players. Hoping to send off this team with a championship! Wish him well. GMG!

I think it’s fine. The UNLV fill ins were fine. Actual UNT students would be better, but it is what it is. As long as they play the right music (Fight song, alma mater, Fly like an eagle, then we’re good).

Stone doesn’t have the size of Sissoko, but man that kid doesn’t back down from ANYONE! He’ll pester they’ll bigs…if needed.

Scott had a big game last time out. Would love to see him go off tomorrow. I’m a huge fan of his game!

He’s been clutch for us throughout the season. I feel like his defense has really improved throughout the course of the year. His midrange game has given us a nice weapon when our offense gets stagnant. He and Rubin are a great 1-2 complement to TP.

We’re the better team. We just have to go out and show it. If we play UNT basketball, we win. I suspect we play UNT plus on Thursday. It’s been a great season and I’ve truly enjoyed watching this team play all year. Grateful for the GMG members to share our celebrations. GMG!

I believe Rubin said he sprained his ankle. Maybe that’s why he didn’t play too much in the first half?

I want GMac to stay, but understand that it would be tough to turn down the big pay day I assume he’d receive from TT. Hodge would be great, but I’d want Moseley to have an actual search. If Hodge is the result, I’m good. Make the search legitimate…not in name only.

I saw somewhere that he was out for the rest of the tournament. Not that we have any right to them, but I don’t believe any details were released.

About 10 current players retweeted and 10 different players quoted his announcement on Twitter. I know it’s not a popular take around here, but GMac’s approach is “I’m going to love on the players that are here. I want the best for them..whether that’s here, or elsewhere. The next man up will get the same love. I only want the best for them.” It’s paraphrased, but that’s the gist of the message.
