12-24, really getting ‘wowed’ by this performance

SMU beat TCU and tried planting a Dallas flag in the middle of the field… douchebag them, but they’re also looking better than expected.

This is exactly what we said would happen when the schedule initially came out, like clockwork we all said that we’d have a tough couple of games at the start, then win out the rest of our games. I think I saw everyone on this board predicting that. I’m not going to stress about losses to 2 top 60 teams (based on multiple polls) with a somewhat young team under a brand new QB and a brand new DC.

I’m pretty sure we were on the short list of teams the MWC were going to snag, alongside Tulsa. Honestly with CSU and AF tagged as AAC bound, I wouldn’t be shocked if it was announced.

Ruder has spent like 5 weeks practicing with this offense. Some things just take time to mesh. A lot of his lobs seemed like misunderstanding exactly where the receivers would be. I’m sure it will work itself out and he grows into the offense, but it’s mighty disappointing right now.

I heard the cheerleader harassment was bad. Really shitty and I hope corrective measures are taken. That’s a horrible thing to do.

I hope they spend time on that this week. Killed us.

Truly do this this is from the top down. We’ve haven’t really been a well coach team. Year after year we fail to bring ourselves together enough to mount a comeback, always dealing with injuries, crashing under pressure, and always dealing with flags. Seth is a fantastic OC and can do great things in the future, but he’s not cut as a head coach. Lots of padded stats and getting carried to mediocrity by an all time QB who could step up when needed.

Not be so close to their DFW team, I think. Unless we can somehow change the narrative around that and argue that it would save costs or something.

I mean I have to imagine it's a weird thing for Mexican-American students who go to UTSA to see. Seems like a large push towards encouraging the university to better welcome the very large Mexican American population on campus/in San Antonio. Agree that no one will miss it. Also, regardless of how we individually feel, we should celebrate that UTSA fans are ticked off.

You could very well make a case for UNT, and I'd hope that the university would put their best foot forward in trying to get into the ACC, but I know we're not getting any shares of that, and that's fine. I think the only other C-USA teams that have a shot would be Marshall (marginally better chance than us) and UAB. I think it would be better to hope for a shakeout that puts us with a couple other promising schools that can rise themselves up out of the bottom of the barrel as a conference.

If UTSA won every single one of their games, what are the odds that they’d be ranked? I mean Illinois is probably the ‘biggest’ team they’ll play.

Running for a loss, missing an easy pass, then making a huge 50 yard pass? This is UNT football.

Honestly makes it hard to be a fan and want to tune in regularly. Feel like improving that would help get people more excited about the game. I’m all in on UNT sports, but the lack of quality in streams makes me feel like I’m not missing out on anything by skipping games.

Our media is horrid. Can’t hear the refs. No graphics. Old ass cameras, horrid replay showing & timing. Shaky stream.

What I’m optimistic about is Bennett’s ability to adjust and correct issues on defense. We haven’t really had that before, and with a new squad I can understand how we may still not be where we want to in the first quarter of our first game back.
