I don’t disagree, but I think the SEC and Big 10 will expand enough to get the networks the audiences they want and command the bulk of the TV revenue. This will then leave pennies for the rest.

Maybe, but I doubt it. Why would the SEC and Big 10 be okay with a reworked Big 12 and a reworked ACC being on equal footing?

Don’t kid yourself. It’s going to be a Power 2, and then SMU is going to be left out just like the rest of us. I know some people have given lip service to this, but the reality is these decisions aren’t really being made with academics very high on the priority list.

I mean, the Mountain West “could target” Texas, Alabama, Duke, and Ohio State.

I guess what I’m assuming, until I see something different, is that there will be designed plays for Rogers, whether that’s options, particular passes or down and distance while Stone takes the majority of the snaps.

There are smart ways to do two quarterbacks and dumb ways to do two quarterbacks. I trust that these coaches have been around enough good quarterbacks that they’ll do it the smart way. I’m excited to see these guys compete against unfriendly competition!

Why would anything this guy posts cause you to not get a good feeling? This dude doesn’t know any more about conference realignment than my 2 year old. Anyone talking about P5 right now is in a dream world.

@TheReal_jayD - I know typically coaches have areas/regions they focus on. Do you know how our existing staff is split up?

I agree with you, but it’s also not lost on me that at least they’re UNT fans posting on a UNT message board while you are…… not.

How do you know that hasn’t happened? If I was Morris going into Season 1, I would play this close to the chest. My guess is he knows who the guy is going to be, but is keeping it in his back pocket to keep the other guys motivated and Cal guessing. There’s no real benefit, this far out, to naming a starter publicly.

My crew started buying $80 GA season tickets and got ourselves halftime in and out privileges. A quick hotdog and a couple of beers later, we make it back inside for the second half. Plus it helps the department get a few extra season ticket sales.

The crazy thing about this year is that outside of Tulane and SMU (who just seems to have our number the last few years), I think most of these are tossups. I think we are going to have some “oh crap” moments in year 1 of a new coach trying to find a QB, but I also think we line up pretty well against a lot of these teams. I may have on green shaded sunglasses, but I’m going to say we go 8-5 (with an elusive bowl win). Also, as a Leach pupil, I expect Morris to coach the team up and pull off a big upset at least once a year like they always seemed to do at Tech, so I am going to predict that to be the ponies this year.

That would guarantee us the first Heisman in UNT history.
