That is one good reason to go after the ULL AD and make sure he is vetted during this process. He has seen first hand how their tailgate atmosphere has translated into greater overall interest in the program. Guys night out at Apogee would be very nice. Don't think that has been done.

To heck with fireworks, pay the pokepeople to have pokemon characters appear during the games for people in the stands. Sadly, this would require available bandwidth during games, for which our stadium sponsor cannot provide so...back giving out buckets o' wings.

How about Smatty going all TTG on the athletic department and demand that they figure out a way to have 25K+ for SMU or he is closing the thread (I.e cleaning house). The time is now. These games do not in fact, sell themselves.

It was a combination of things. One large reason that the defensive stats went down was due to the shift in offensive philosophy that Chico tried to implement. Chico was not very successful and it ended up causing the defense to look more inept than it was due to them being on the field all the time with not a lot of talented depth and not a ton of talent on the first string. Ultimately, the defense appeared to start quitting earlier and earlier in games because they did not see any hope in what the offense was doing. FWIW, Littrell will be running an up tempo offense as well and if they don't move the chains the defense will be on the field an awful lot. I believe this is a big reason they have been adding a lot of defensive players with these late moves. I am very hopeful that our offense will eventually be much improved over that hot mess we saw last year.

MWC is pretty stable because pretty much nobody wants their programs, except for the recent discussion of CSU. Boise does not even seem to be in the B12 conversation. Unless, the AAC loses more than 2 teams, I don't think it will have a huge impact on CUSA. The AAC has said if they lose 2 teams they may just stick with 10. If we lose a couple of teams, I could easily see us not adding anyone.

One man's trash is another man's treasures. Two different coaches with fairly different philosophies. Completely reasonable that Littrell is replacing a lot of players on the fringes with his own players. There have been a few, but not than many contributors that are no longer here. Not the end of the world.

All this talk about win win win. Yet we scream and pout if the BB coach stretches the rules with GA's, and we condemn players for relatively minor infractions when compared to the rape/murder/assault that goes on at other programs. And we don't want our boosters doing unethical things to get ahead. And we don't want our football coach recruiting questionable athletes that are superior to what we can get through normal recruiting. Yet, these same activities occur again and again and again at the programs we want to hold up as proof of other programs winning. Which is it going to be? You can't have it both ways. Are we really ready to go all in to win at all costs? Many are. I am ok with that mindset because, as has been shown, we would not be breaking new ground when compared to other programs. But don't come in waving a righteous finger later.

Now that's what I call a slow roll. All this time for some backlink juice. -
Yep, feel so sorry for this kid. A few days ago he seemed to have a bright future in store, now this... Where are the parents in all this?

At first I thought you were talking about his choice of Aledo over the other offers he had, but ya his college choice was probably hard too.

Really interested to see the class of walk ons the staff brings in. Likely a key factor in the number of players that we saw disappear from the roster in order to keep the number at the 105ish max. We have 74 currently on the roster. we have roughly 10 others that are supposed to arrive over the next couple of weeks, which would leave us with somewhere around 20 spots to fill with potential walk ons to get to a full roster.

Farmer's resume has a lot of the things we should be looking for. It would be interesting to know if he has reached out or vice versa.

As far as I know there has not been any information indicating they will not be here.
