  1. I call BS. Baylor and Oregon have gone through more color changes than we have. And they are not the only ones. I wish we could find something that works and stick with it, but I don't buy the story that we are the only school who can't decide on a color.
  2. Morris is definitely 2016. Derricot will come down to timing and coach's decision. Sine he is a one year player I certainly hope he counts against 2016 so we avoid the situation of a player taking up a roster spot that is no longer here (I.e 2017).
  3. I sure hope we have not lost any of the juco LBs. I hope it is more along the lines of thinking he gives us depth or potential upgrade at the position. However, a 1 year grad transfer that is possibly a blue shirt is definitely robbing Peter to pay Paul.
  4. Looking at his timeline, it seems like the only thing possible would be that he is a graduate transfer. Man, what a night and day difference in the amount of effort being made in recruiting between this staff and the last.
  5. and the forum had nothing to do with who should be the next AD.
  6. Renewed for another year today. Ben was nice and efficient. No issues. Looking forward to the season, but I will probably miss a game or two due to another kiddo starting school out of state so I am sure there will be conflicts. Renewed anyway.
  7. Here is an early design before the budget was set:
  8. Done. We are in front of the mouth breathers from tech, but still a long way to catch atm. I know some of you don't have anything better to do, so...
  9. Our opponents will feel the burn!
  10. So basically, RV had most of the fund raising, facilities, scheduling, and tickets and HD had pretty much everything else. Seems like he had direct responsibility for about half of this mess.
  11. I am not so sure. If it did not include the incoming class then when you add the 25+ that have been discussed, we would be over the 85 total limit. I am pretty sure it includes the incoming, but could be wrong. I think it is possible he was using just a bit of woe-is-me'ing because it is hard to believe we would be that low after an incoming class, but I guess I shouldn't be shocked based on what we saw last year.
  12. Someone should find his AOL account and send him a tersely worded email so Margy can read it to him. Littrell made it sound like it counted his incoming signing class. It was not clear if it also included the 6 jucos added after signing day. This is amazing if true because it would mean that we only had 45-50 scholarship players left on the roster before the incoming class.
  13. As has been pointed on in a few different posts. It is pretty simple to keep reading for free. They have set the bar pretty low to get around.
  14. The 'North Texan' magazine that the university publishes occasionally has references to a number. I don't recall at the moment the number or how they phrased it, but it was definitely higher than 140K. Do we use alumni to refer to those that received a degree or anyone that has taken classes?
  15. With your misspelling in the thread title you are obviously trying to impress the athletic department and get a job with them.
  16. I think I remember him saying something along the lines of having to raise $325K last year. How many basketball guarantee games does it take to raise $325K? How much does it cost us to bring in a lower level school in return?
  17. We stopped doing basketball a few years back.
  18. I have stated on this forum that I think he should get his chance to say his peace and be given a fair shot. I think he does have valuable knowledge and has ties to the community that can be leveraged. However, I also think we are in trouble if we can't find someone that will do a better job as the AD. I hope Hank is able to stay on and continue building on the work he has built over the years. I also hope a new AD would expect even more from him and set the bar even higher. What I don't want is someone that can't double or triple the annual giving. We are somewhere in the neighborhood of $2M annually and we have to get that number up to more in the $6M range. In order to have that kind of growth it will take someone that is more than incrementally better than RV. They will need to be hungry to build a name for themselves. Someone that will reach out beyond the Denton borders and new BMDs. There has to be a lot of business owners in a 50 mile radius that we can build mutually beneficial partnerships with. Somehow use tailgating and game days to attract businesses and let them use it as networking events to build business. Be a facilitator. Get creative. We also need someone that is willing to make the tough decisions regarding existing staff. There are a few that need to be put on serious performance plans so they can either correct their sub standard performance or move on. I am not convinced that someone currently on the inside will do that. We could do worse than Hank, but I also believe we will find a better fit in terms of what is needed from our AD in 2016 and beyond.
  19. As the saying goes, no pain, no gain.
  20. Ok, now ahead of the whorns. My clicking finger needs a break. Long ways to go to catch the aggy.
  21. At the meeting the other night, Trip debunked the myth that we had great facilities. He said Apogee was great, but most of the rest is either average or below par and in need of repair.
