Prediction thread for Marshall and UNT this Saturday. I believe on a full week's practice for DaMarcus Smith and some more emphasis on the defense, UNT avoids getting doubled up on the road by C-USA powerhouse Marshall. UNT 24 Marshall 41

I'm starting to think Rick wants us to despise him because he knows he still has a lot of power. I bet every night, he has his wife read all the comments on this board to get him to sleep.

Defense should be #1 focus. If the defense performs like I did against SMU, I believe DaMarcus Smith is capable of winning out at home. I'd like to see us steal a game on the road, too. I would say MTSU is our best chance to split the rest of our season.

Hopefully our defense makes some adjustments this week and DaMarcus Smith improves on a full week of practice to make the game interesting. Even though it is *gulp* on the road.

The only thing I'm interested in seeing finished right now is Rick's term as AD.

While their defense hasn't been spectacular, I think this is the best we've seen their offense. I'm not sure who can stop them. The game in Fort Worth will be a great one, indeed.

Just trying to remain "optimistic". But I think if we were in the same situation, with the game still on the line and we made a goof like this, our board would be making almost the same deal as it has about 66-7. And to be honest, if our team just lost a game because we spiked the ball on 4th down, I would have lost a lot more sleep than I did after the Portland State Massacre.

Hey now, I still think spiking the ball on 4th down is worse than anything we've done (or haven't done) all year....

A side note: it's always a good day when you have the opportunity to listen to Gus Johnson commentating a game. Best in the business.

As a student whose first choice was UNT, and is the biggest Mean Green fan you'll find, I will never stop fighting! I will keep trolling Smatresk via Twitter and whatever else it takes. There's 2,300 other Jimmy John's stores, RV has plenty of other candidate cities to relocate to.

The student section last night was very uninspiring, and you could not hear our side until kickoff, except for one instance: and it was when DaMarcus Smith was announced as the starting QB. Everyone erupted.

I'll reiterate the general consensus: I really haven't been a fan of anything Skip Bayless has ever said, and although I'm also not a big fan of Stephen A. Smith, Bayless just leapfrogged over Smith in my opinion. Never thought I'd see the day.

Maybe we should just share C.H. Collins with Denton ISD for the rest of the season. Cut costs.
