  1. Yeah maybe I should limit the number of threads about players whose finalist lists we make lol. I can't imagine Nicholls could offer more $$? They're called Nicholls for a reason.
  2. Yes!! Let's stop thinking about who's going to hurt us in the portal next season and try to get excited for 2024-25. I'm intrigued to find out if this guy is going to compete for Moulaye's spot in the starting lineup. I'm assuming Sissoko is coming back for his grad year until news comes out otherwise. The thing that might make Vice our 6th man instead is his young age. But he's an inch taller and just 5 lbs. lighter than Moulaye. In limited time he had better stats, including rebounding, than Moulaye last year. He's also got a cool name. I wish it rolled off the tongue better.
  3. I've been thinking about this comment as well. This seems to be our biggest fault of our women's programs, who overall are usually pretty solid. Soccer vs. TTU, SMU, women's basketball vs. TAMU, TCU, and our softball team against most power conference teams the last few years. I remember in the recent past our softball ladies used to be good for at least one win over Baylor in their own tournament every year for a few seasons in a row. Now on nights like Wednesday, we play like we're not both competing for the same championship.
  4. Black jerseys tonight, pinstripes tomorrow, green on Sunday. Believe it or not, that's progress. We didn't wear green at all last weekend.
  5. Opportunity to beat up on one of the worst teams in the country in Memphis (5-34, 1-17). Really can't let them steal one like UTSA did a few weeks ago. This could help solidify a top two seed (top two seeds would only need to win two games in the conference tournament to win the title) if Tulsa takes 2 of 3 from Charlotte this weekend. SCHOOL CONF CPCT. OVERALL PCT. 6. I didn't think she could get off to a worse start than last Friday when she walked four batters in 1+ innings of work, but alas, four walks without recording an out last night. She's been going crazy with those pitches sailing over batters' heads.
  7. I've noticed Christensen has been out of the lineup more too.
  8. Sold out game, but I've still got a few tickets I can spare if anyone can make it tomorrow at 6. Need more green than maroon!!
  9. Slow start in Game 2 but we end up winning that one 10-0 as well. This is an even better night than I was hoping for. Hope this gives a bid of confidence for the ladies heading into the Texas A&M game tomorrow. I HAVE EXTRA TICKETS TOMORROW IF ANYONE NEEDS SOME!! Combined stats today for our team: Medford: 2-5, 2B Cobb: 2-4, 2B, 2 RBI Simon: 4-8, 2B, 3B, HR, 6 RBI Smith: 1-7, RBI, BB Gamble: 2-6, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 2 BB Grahmann: 0-1 Rainey: 4-6, 2 2B Truitt: 0-0, BB Ibarra: 2-3, 2 2B Donohoe: 0-1, RBI, BB Moffitt: 0-3, BB Nicholson: 1-5 Conley: 1-3, HR, 3 RBI, 2 BB Epperson: 1-1, 2 RBI Christensen: 1-2, 2B, 3 RBI
  10. He played the 4 at PVAMU which is what I'm hoping he would slide into here. He looks a little bigger than Aaron but he wouldn't replace all of Aaron's shooting. He only went 7-20 from 3-point land this season. Maybe Hodge would make him work on being able to stretch the floor more in the postseason and give him more of a green light in Denton.
  11. Doesn't say a date, but we are in his Top 4. Miles led the SWAC this year with 9.3 RPG to go along with 11.9 PPG at Prairie View A&M. He also averaged an assist a game. We are the best program in his Top 4. The most interesting thing: he ALSO went to the same school Scott and Massie attended. He's been retweeting a lot of their stuff in the recent past. I would love if that meant he'll land here, but I've noticed that doesn't happen often. These players who played together will be each other's biggest fans but seem to want to go on their own paths.
  12. Lineup for first game of our rescheduled doubleheader tonight:
  13. Glad to say @CMJ can rest easy. All the people who bugged the sh!t out of him for spelling Rubin's name wrong now have a new name they can get wrong: Massie instead of Massey.
  14. How will SMU explain us being better at them than horse things if they're the Mustangs? Although... I guess they've got a lot more "green" than us.
  15. I think that was the plan against UTA until we fell behind 4-1. Gamble didn't start that game but came in when we finally started to rally. Hopefully we go all starters in one of the games. An 8-0 or 10-1 win in <7 innings would feel really nice. We are losing a lot of talent this offseason and I don't know who we're going to rely on for power hitting. In the least offensive way possible, we've got a bunch of twigs compared to the stronger, D-I looking athletes I saw this weekend from FAU.
  16. I have never been either but heard a lot of complaints about it being on the same weekend last year, too.
  17. The game starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday if anybody is near Denton and could make it. They were $15 each. I could use a couple but will give up all nine and stand in right field if that means more people rooting on the Green Wednesday. I wanted to keep them out of the hands of Aggie fans. I know this doesn't belong in this forum but wanted to maximize visibility to help benefit the softball ladies.
