Not only the Wild Card, but I think they had an 8 game lead in the division over the Jays at one point, too. Anyways, Rangers fan here but I am rooting for you guys. But only so we can have homefield advantage if we meet up in the ALCS.

Just getting one game in Toronto was key. But Hamels on the mound tomorrow does give us a great chance to go home leading 2-0. You wouldn't hear any complaints from me! GO RANGERS

I think the factor that gets us over the hump is the homefield advantage. If these same teams were playing in Portland, I'd think it'd be victory to the FCS team.

I only see two more victories if we beat PSU in UTEP and UTSA. But that's the max. Absolute max. The team can feel free to prove me wrong, though. It would be nice to not have a double-digit number of losses.

Come on guys, how often does the team with the best record actually win the World Series? Baseball is such an unpredictable game. Last year two Wild Cards faced off in the World Series. The Rangers upset the Yankees on their way to the 2010 World Series. I wouldn't be surprised if we do see a Lone Star ALCS showdown. That would be epic.

I would not be bragging about this win unless it was a blowout. I mean, I don't care if they're FCS: 77-3 (Nicholls State last year) is worth talking a little lip. But really, all it does in the long run is give me a little confidence in the team for UTSA and maybe UTEP.

I would be the least excited if we had 0 chance to win this game. But this is our only/one of two/three chances to win a game this year. There's your buzz. Also, my high school football team went 0-10 my senior year. I'm really rooting against a second winless team in three years for me.

I can tell you one thing: If we lose to Portland State, they might as well play their last three home games in Fouts Field (now 1/3 of its capacity after bleacher demolition) so the stands don't look as bad.

However my girlfriend would probably refuse to stand next to me if I was wearing a bag over my head.

I wouldn't mind downtown Fort Worth then. Something with a skyline backdrop instead of Arlington, a city of nearly 400,000 people but whose tallest structure is a roller coaster, rising above several subdivisions and shopping centers. Boring. Anywho, as the ALDS arrives, I really hate that we're facing the Blue Jays. We have historically struggled at the Rogers Centre and that's without it being to capacity. We could either be completely overwhelmed or win this series with our postseason experience. I think if we steal a game in Canada, this series is our's.

Can't stand to watch our highlight videos of any sport. If you knew me in person you'd know me to be a very optimistic person but a highlight video should be 3-4 minutes max of plays that you'll remember all season, not an eight-yard gain on 3rd and 3 for a 1st down for example.
