  1. I agree with this. If Aune ever does anything here then, “Hell yeah!” Martin just seems like the next dude.
  2. I agree, I’m worried about LB, but I’m impressed with the crop we are bringing in. I think the Murray twins should make an impact. I think the “lesser” thought of the 2 will actually make the immediate impact. As far as the returnees.... All we can do is hope one of them steps up. They didn’t recruit any juco guys, so we gotta think that’s because they didn’t think they needed one. Right? We’ve recruited pretty heavily at DB and gotten some highly regarded guys at that spot Either way, we are still gonna live and die by our offense. As long as Mason is playing, we will probably be in every game
  3. What’s the deal with Fine lately?? Doesnt seem to have the same mixture he had last year. I know the line isn’t great, but damn, he’s missed Several opportunities today.
  4. To all the people that are down on Littrell for being where we are in his 3rd year after the team he inherited is laughable. I mean....seriously! We were in the bottom 10, and not as a joke! Should we settle for where we are....no, absolutely not, but should we be realistic and realize that we aren’t to a point yet where we CAN be that cocky? Yes, we should! If you objectively looked at Littrell vs Tom Herman, who would you say has done the better job? Guess my point is, you newbies, don’t dismiss the vets POV because they have........ perspective. Now say, it’s year 6, and we are flattening out at 10 or 11 wins a year, then maybe we know that is our ceiling, so let’s enjoy it! Like Boise does.
  5. Agree 100%. I was talking to my buddy yesterday, and even when we were up at half, I told him the Mean Green fan in me was having a hard time thinking we had this one wrapped up.
  6. I always park at east side and either take the shuttle or uber/Lyft. I hate dealing with the parking and traffic. $15 round trip to uber. The houses on the soutside of the stadium down Bonnie Brae usually offer make-shift parking lots for a fee as well. Ala cotton bowl/state fair parking. One of the houses used to be owned by the track coach. Not sure if he’s still there. That was nice because there was no traffic getting out. You just head south and cut through Denia(shhhh! Don’t tel them)
  7. Their goal is to be the Protestant Notre Dame. That’s why they have been throwing so much $$$ into athletics recently. BYU would be a disappointment in their eyes. We’ll see should be interesting. I don’t think most people have enough awareness of what Liberty is really for them to be able to do what they want. Hope they have a good Marketing Director. Lol
  8. Then right before the 4:00 mark he points it out to Fine again, and they just chuckle about it. Love it!!!
  9. I think that we also forget about all the people on the club level and in the suites. The Houston game was very similar, but it was also what, 7 years ago? It’s easy for revisionist history to sink in on that. Mess the best crowd I’ve seen there, and also the longest I’ve had to wait for a beer. Lol. Not sure what the rules are, but if we can make that kind of crowd a habit, we will have to look into the mobile vendors that walk up and down the stairs. Lol
  10. Can’t believe we settled for a 2* prospect in this class. Jk. Super excited about this guy. 1st team all conference first 3 yrs of hs? That’s impressive. Seems like one of those kids that is under rated because of measurables instead of results. So was a guy named Mason.
  11. I see what y'all are saying about Harrell and the play calling, but anyone take a Minute to stop and think that maybe that was because they had a limited playbook with a new offense and a freshman qb then a guy that had been the backup? I saw saw a quote where littrell said they added in more of the playbook this spring.
  12. They have access to everything, but the only "coach" that can tell them what to do is the strength and conditioning coach. That is why most programs now consider them the second most important person in the program.
  13. Ok, so many of you are ready to throw the towel in on fine. He was a true freshman, but you think he can't improve. You all say that the transfer qb is the one who has the success. Can I just throw out one example.
  14. I grew up in Irving. Went to ihs. I'm guessing he didn't graduate from Irving '99. I don't recognize him. I graduated '00.
  15. Just curious how anyone who has been watching this debacle at Baylor can bitch at all about the coach punishing the players. They don't have to tell us what they did, but at least we know they aren't covering up/ignoring issues with our players to the point it blows up in our face some day.
  16. first off, this actually happens and jj is free while we are looking for a coach, we go after him no questions asked. Secondly, we are not a total reclamation project. We actually have a lot of talent. Probably more than most of jj's teams. We just have no head coach. Nobody that knows how to get what he needs to get out of his players. Like y'all said jj underperformed a couple times, and he lost some games he probably shouldn't have lost, but he put us in position where we thought we shouldn't have lost those games. Dont forget, he won 18 games his last year with both Cj and jordan failing out the second semester. T Mitch had way better numbers, and that was why we had all the optimism. Benford came in with all of them and only won 14?
  17. Bro, I've been calling for him, Danny Kaspar, or Bob Marlin since we lost Johnny. Still think we could get any of those guys now, just sadly, it's definitely not as appealing as it once was. We do have some talent on this team, and they are young. We also have another (at least 1) good recruit coming in. A good, opportunistic coach could do wonders with this roster. Btw, I know Bennie has been a bust, and he was generally thought of as one of the top assistants in the nation, but that being said. If our next hire is another assistant, that doesn't mean it's a bad hire. I don't think any of us would be bitchin if benford had ended up being brad underwood. We, of course, don't have that luck. (Btw, is it too late for us to get him?)
  18. I was thinking about submitting my resume as the Unt coach from ncaa basketball 2k8. I went to the tournament every year, won multiple national championships, and eventually got a lifetime contract. Pretty confident that translates, at least better than what vendors does. I am just gonna run full court and traps all game long. Press the steal button over and over. Push the ball up the court as fast as possible and of course, crash the boards.
  19. as Untjim said, rob Evans should be able to handle the head coaching duties.
  20. Weird that Georgia isn't having to wait until after the sec championship. Anyone else notice that?
  21. how many of you have had the same thought as me this year? What if we had, had a coach that actually put effort into developing Dajon?
  22. IMO, The thing that I love most about Briles, is that he will probably recruit the best qb that we have had in a long, long time. (And yes, I know Riley was highly rated. Think we used him wrong until his dad was gone, ironically?) whatever the case may be, I think you look at the non p5, and a stud qb turns you around faster than anything.
