And those uniforms are horrendous, unless we do something like UNC basketball and have the pattern on the side only I stand corrected, Argyle would look awful on a football uniform.

Plaid would be awful for football but it looks cool for these. I like the flags more than anything.

Normally I tend to agree about uniform threads but when I saw these uniforms I had to post it. I really really like these. Best UNT look in any of our sports I have ever seen.

I am not saying to copy this, however, with people mentioning what our uniforms should look like, this is impressive. The designer of this uniform is great. It's classy and I especially love the use of the flag on the helmet and uniform. I really wish they would chose a helmet decal and stick with. Good post. I would add that if we are in a better conference, attendance should go up. The average person knows nothing about the other Sunbelt teams. Much less knowing someone who went to one of those schools. A friend who is an SMU grad plans on attending the future games with me. It will be fun. If we played Rice every year, I would never miss a game home or away. I want to play more Texas schools minus A&M. (I will cheer for any Texas school but them. I can't listen to the douche baggery. I look forward to the SEC owning them.) Meanwhile my wife says "Who is Troy?" (everytime we play) Better opposition will get people to games.

Good luck to them. it almost sounds like they are using this as a tool for more money. I guess if they don't get in they can say we need more money for facilities, more scholarships, staff, ect. Smart move either way.

It would never happen but it would be original. The green Texas flag on both sides of the helmet. Very simple, no one else has anything like it, and and you could market just the flag with no words.

I don't know if that is necessarily true. Sure they have a lot of alumni in Houston and DFW, however, they have alumni out west too. EP is closer to California than it is Dallas or Houston. Back in the day when the WAC was a different conference it made perfect sense for them to play there. They fit in CUSA or MWC conferences either way they go. If they do anything that is.

If the merger doesn't pan out and the two remain separate in whatever capacity, I believe the better fit for UNT (if we are invited anywhere) would be Conference USA. The Sunbelt has been good to us, however, Conference USA offers us more in the way of getting people involved. Rice every year would be great. Tulsa, UTEP, ect... They are closer to Denton. Conferences were meant to unite regional teams in order to breed competition, rivalry, and maybe some fun for everyone involved well before ESPN began destroying college sports.

Sad but so true. I really hope we get in in. It would be a very positive move for UNT.

I guess we are waiting for the NCAA to sign off on the Conference merger? That could take a while I guess.

Probably a silly question, however, I will ask it anyway. Does anyone know how soon any or all the aforementioned Universities will announce they have accepted an invitation to the new Conference? A timeline, a deadline, anything...

You are absolutely correct on all points. Near perfect would have been appropriate. Green is truly a bad color and he should have been in his skid marked stained tighty whities in his mom's basement eating cheetos while raging himself to sleep for being picked after the fat girl for dodgeball fourth grade gym class.
