1. It is a young girl writing about football. 2. She is busting out words to big for her britches, or panties, anyway "stalwarts". Funny.

There are a finite number of scholarships so if they were to come back they would not have recruited players to replace them. Everyone resigns their scholarship annually anyway. Or at least use to. NCAA is psycho about these things. I would bet hard cash these players are done at Oklahoma.

You are correct sir.

Magellan and his whiskey tango wife that begins sentences with "baby" were probably looking at Sanger High School after they missed the turn to Wal-Mart to get her wedding dress after the Dollar General let them down. Why would anyone listen to a douche who takes football advice from his old lady who I must repeat starts sentences with "baby" and furthermore is pathetic enough to post it? I can only assume he throws mean jazz hands.

The missing piece (winning) is still haunting UNT

If you look at future opponents and the new conference the answer is right there. Win more games. I disagree with playing LSU in the first game but that actually could help recruiting too. A kid in high school will look at the schedule and see that he could play against one of the best teams. However, a massive beat down isn't good either. The schedule in the next few years is solid. Put together a few winning seasons and the question is answered. We need more home games too.- 11 replies

Are you talking about the ones the coaches wore last year? I bought one at the bookstore before the Houston game. Awesome shirt.

Today I unpacked all my clothes from storage after eight months of living out of a suit case. I just realized I have a ridiculous amount of UNT gear. Especially t-shirts. I guess you can't have to much. I have a really sweet UNT Flag I bought and had framed a couple of years ago. I love it and it's huge. One really cool thing that was in a box that had been in storage for ages was the game ball that was given to me after the win over Southwest Texas in 1994. Pretty awesome. The Captains all signed it with the score and date. We just need Jerseys now!

Simple, they go back and forth with different eagle images and its getting old. The current helmet is as unoriginal as it could possibly be. Not that my opinion matters but I would vote for the green flag. It would be recognized, original, and timeless.

In a way it could be viewed as similar to the Third Reich, however, come on! It looks okay!!!

They weren't. No one on the team cared for them either. They were cheap and got torn to shreds after a few hits in pregame. A lot of the logos UNT has worn looks like high school nonsense. Folks on the boards say these design threads are crap but the players are really critical of that stuff. They have to wear it. UNT needs to stop having an image crisis. Figure out something unique and stick with it. It's busch league.

1968-1971 would be cool. Nobody has anything like that.

UNT Flag on the helmet and call it a day. Stop changing it all the time as well.

That is a lot of heat between now and then. It's okay because we will win the Sunbelt and the Cowboys a Superbowl!!

Win the Conference Championship, drop the mic, and walk off the stage Sexual Chocolate style.

I remember Toby Gowin warming up kicking footballs into the Texas A&M Marching Band. Very funny. Or John Baker punting footballs into dancing kids on the field dressed like mariachis at NMSU. Priceless. I personally don't watch halftime shows. It's pee time. Its simply the honest, hygenic, decision of a beer drinker to not pee pee his britches. Kalebschumann said "It would literally be one of the most epic halftime shows ever", I would bet serious cash our band's musicians are more talented. Furthermore, I bet UNT's Marching Band Director would defeat UTEP's Marching Band Director in single combat every time.

"In the meantime, it’s clear that Conference USA is as strong as ever, and we’re excited about the future of UTEP Athletics." I am excited about the future UTEP beat downs we are going to give them. GMG!

It's a football game, not a shuttle launch. The last Bowl game I was at was Sun Bowl. It was below zero, snow, and roving blackouts. Every palm tree in town died, sad. It was still sold out and the beer still flowed like wine. If you can't have a bowl game at possibly the greatest stadium ever built, then what's the point? It's not like Dallas is like Chicago or Green Bay when it comes to bad weather. The events prior to the game are mostly in doors anyway, but seriously, screw the nonsense before the ball game. No one goes to see the fat kid with the tuba in a parade anyway. Well, maybe his folks.
