I just moved from El Paso to Frisco. As a UNT Letterman and alumni I would love to see these teams play in every sport. My wife was a soccer player at UNT and we went to see the soccer team play in EP. UTEP won in triple digit heat. Irritation. However, I would love to see us play them every year as I have zero love for their school. Good folks out there and they are in serious need some trash talk. Not to mention my Dad went there in the Texas Western days.

The towel incident is hilarious looking back. I was on the busses after the game when hotel people arrived with the police wanting their towels. Coach Simon made us clean the stadium after the next home game. No, I didn't take a towel, however, there weren't to many who didn't. God that was embarrassing. We ended up practicing every Sunday instead of Mondays because of that incident. Great reference!!!

The guys on that blog were great. They sound like insecure children. I have a vision of several has beens or never weres sitting in their parent's lonely basements eating cheetos in their tighty whities while blogging nonsense about people who care less about them during their breaks in the Everquest action. Or was it some online avatar life that those of us with lives don't even know about? Either way, high comedy for me reading their pathetic statements.

When I was in school, we drank with TCU people and threw some parties together. I had good times and its pretty simple as to why, at least I, like TCU more. SMU always appeared boring to me. Sorry, SMU didn't exactly peg the fun meter. Pretty campus or not. (The original post seemed preoccupied as to why SMU lost the popularity contest. I hope this helps.) As far as football, I say screw it. We play whoever and start winning again. As far as SMU goes, they are on the schedule. Beat them on the field and leave it at that. One final note, UNT has better looking girls than either of the aforementioned institutions. Yes, I am biased. Proceed...

I read an article today that said FIU is under consideration for CUSA. The next few months should be interesting.

Do we even know if leaving the Sunbelt is something the Athletic Department desires? I would be happy if we played more Texas teams.

A bit off topic but what are the plans for parking around the stadium? I was told there would be improvements as last season was a bit of a haul with young kids.

I know it's appealing to schedule big names schools week in and week. We did that in 1995 and it was awful. The team was demoralized and the injuries mounted quickly. We just need to win the games we play and hopefully get into a better conference. On another note I read that we are playing SMU every year from 2013 to 2018. Any validity to this? (I read it in an email) If it's true, it's a great start.
