Agreed. This program and everyone around it has had a losing mindset for so long that it is a self fulfilling prophecy. In 94 our team was never told we should lose nor did we think we would. If you remember we barely lost to Boise State in the playoffs and they went on to play in the national championship that year. The teams of the early 2000s were good as well. This team needs support and a winners mentality. We have the coaches and players to get this ship steered straight. We can and better damn well go to a bowl game this year.

I lived in El Paso until recently and was able to see more UNT games this past season out there than in the last decade combined. Granted Espn3 on my xbox, but I still got to watch several games.

Thanks! Hopefully we get in. I use to think conferences didn't matter all that much but I really believe getting into this conference would be good for the University and the Athletic Department. Fingers are crossed.

Stupid question, any idea when the powers that be might announce the schools moving into the new conference? I read somewhere possibly before May 1st???

5 home games is fine if we can win more games this year. The disappointing part for me is the wife and kids won't be able to make it to the weekday game. My daughters will want to go and be disappointed. I shall be forced to go to this game and eat to much, drink to much, ect... Oh yeah, almost forgot, take the day off work as well. (5 home games still sucks, the team will be tired from the travel)

Maybe he is waiting to do the interview until after we win the Sunbelt tournament and he can announce that we are going to change conferences as well??? C'mon, I am an optimistic!!!

I wish we would just get word that we are changing conferences. Geez. I use to think it didn't matter but times are changing.

When does the entire 2012 schedule come out? Additionally, can I purchase season tickets right now?

The last time UNT was in the tournament for basketball people were talking about them everywhere I went. People thought it was pretty cool they made it. If our school actually started winning. People would be excited. It's tough to root for teams that consistently let us done year after year.

Where was this intel discovered about these folks visiting the stadium? I'd tend to think since we did not go to that conference before because our facilities were garbage and now we have great facilities that this is a good sign.

Interesting news. I think from everything I am hearing that we are good to go. Just my take anyway. He did sound irritated about the travel. That is a long flight for his team, however, it goes both ways.

I wouldn't pay to much attention to Natalicio. I lived in El Paso and her reputation was awful. Her lip service and politics were bad too. All my friends who went to UTEP say she is full of it and running their school into the ground from their standpoint. I could care less what she says. I would love for us to play UTEP more. I just don't care to hear from that individual.
