Of course it is fair. When you hire you look at past experiences and compare resumes. With the changes and expectations we are going through not having any experience we don't need. If we can't find a suitable head coach then we will have to hire an Assistant.

Compare your choices to Seth's resume when he was hired. Either, no difference or Seth's is superior. Three years ago Riley was running back coach at App State who has he recruited or developed? SMU got to see Riley up close and they did not hire him. I don't want to see another coach that can't hire, can't do game time or halftime adjustments and can't figure how to use time outs! If they do go that way I hoped it is stressed the he hire an Assistant with HC experience.

You need to hire a coach who has a resume better than Seth. To me one of the biggest mistakes Seth made was not hiring a an individual that had been a head coach. Should of been done on day one.

They can always make a commitment to hire and announce then fill out the paper a few days later.

Evaluate talent and develop talent is a must for UNT. He signed a qb out in middle of nowhere and he developed into one of the top qb’s in the transfer portal with multiple P5 offers.

Will be done. They had a jump start from last year with letting Seth go. I believe they also have a list of identified candidates . Maybe in some cases had preliminary discussions. Maybe as early as this weekend?

I would take a hard look at Chad Morris for OC. Great OC and recruiter. Has local connections!

Wonder what would have happened if Chandler Morris had stayed healthy. He was the designated starter till he go hurt. We’re they going to have a Heisman candidate on the bench?

W-L as a whole can be deceiving. He was 10-3 and 9-3 his last 2 seasons. He was also AAC coach of the year. Andy Dalton and Payton Lynch qb’s he coached. Our new coach either needs to be or hires a qb whisperer!
