The offense this yr didn't really need his skill set. He'd be great in a passing offense. We'll see what happens with Murray, maybe changes will get him more touches - not necessarily of the traditional rushing variety.

Smatresk values athletics significantly. Spoke to him at the Creighton game for about ten minutes. He even exchanged numbers with us to stay in touch. Very honest and transparent about the university facing problems but very genuine and capable of fixing them. He is regularly attending events and has my support.

Effort this year was great from the players...they never threw in the towel. That is a major culture change from before. I'm frustrated with Mac holding the offense hostage too but we can't take away the effort he's getting out of these guys.

No way. He was a Frosh. He needs to learn the offense...he's not going to be the guy with the incredible skill set like DW and make an immediate impact. He's going to learn and grow and probably start as a RS-Soph in 2016 and give us 3 good years. That's how it looks right now to me. No way you burn that redshirt under any circumstances.

yeah the only thing that doesn't make sense in the equation is will it hurt Mack's legacy....it would be a grotesque media storm, the money fits, we'd take a back seat, all of that....but does Mack really want to take that risk? It's proven to be a tough place to win. At his age and coming off the unceremonious dismount at Texas, I feel like he'd want a different type of opportunity. That being said they went to 4 bowls in 5 yrs...they've had good players and good teams and it won't take much to push them over the edge, especially with them dolla$...I just really don't want this because of what it means for us.

Definitely there for UTSA....likely won't make it to Rice

The West is so down this year....I can't wrap my mind around what to expect. Us, UTSA, Rice...all disappointed. Won't really know until we start playing our division...but, keep in mind DW only has 2 games under his belt. In one he put up huge numbers, in the other he had is second start ever on the road against an improved Big 10 team. We're definitely going to have to outscore folks this yr so I'm antsy to see what happens too...but I believe the offense will get moving in the next 2 games. Our Oline is too good and DW is too talented not to. CUSA is just weak - we'll have our chances. Plus the east teams we play aren't Marshall...

Terrell has been frustrating. These guys are finally getting balls thrown downfield though. It takes time to mesh. DW had a few bad misses today.
