I didn’t say it because “....#OldDenton”. I said it because you guys shoving your bullshit in everyone’s faces around here grew tiresome long ago. I like and agree that we need a new attitude, but the approach the two of you take isn’t strengthening our fan base and it’s image as you claim to be your objective. It makes us look petty and negative if anything. I’m all for varied points of view but there is a wrong way to be right.

The two of you should start your own board and save NT from the rest of us.

Planning to do a small tailgate with venison steak and sausage this week since we have to make a 5 hour round trip to Denton and back. You’re a kindred spirit of mine Tony. Way to be generous and down to fellowship/party! One of these days I need to swing by yalls setup.

Him talking about how physical they are is a great point. If there’s much danger with UTEP it’s that we are weak at the line of scrimmage. We use our speed to overcome that and I expect us to do the same with UTEP but if they get in a groove manhandling upfront and being more physical that could make for yet another tight game in the 4th. I have a lot of belief in these kids though and the FAU game should’ve left an indelible mark on them. They will handle business.

The guy went on a 26-0 run through conference. Veets is right about this. Wouldn’t you be a bit of a curmudgeon if you had to deal with NT culture in that era too? Fouts Field holds a special place in my heart, in fact my dog is named Fouts...but how do you recruit with what we had to work with facilities wise? I came to NT in 2005 as a freshman because of Patrick and Jamario (and I got into the honors college without having to write an essay and I was in a shitty band and we had a crush on Denton). What those guys accomplished was absolutely HUGE considering we had essentially tried to kill our program not terribly long before Dickey got to town. He may have been abraisive but we are a blue collar bunch and he kind of represented the school in a lot of ways. I’ll be absolutely glad to cheer for Coach Dickey on Saturday in recognition for all he did for our program.

We are so bad defensively. So so bad.

They and Navy both bring lots of fans in our area. It’s not necessarily a good thing seeing as how they’ll be cheering for our opponent. The higher turnout expectations doesn’t include expected increase in NT fans I wouldn’t think in general...although my dad is dying to go bc he still thinks of Army in a Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis sense, so there’s probabaly a bit of that too.
