  2. A quarterback named Cash really should play for the Mean Green, shouldn’t he? That’ll be the case soon enough, as China Spring’s Cash McCollum made his commitment to North Texas on Friday. McCollum led the Cougars to their second straight Class 4A state championship last season as a junior, in his first season in the program after transferring from Wimberley. He passed for 3,201 yards and 37 touchdowns against 10 interceptions, while rushing for 454 yards and six touchdowns. He was the District 5-4A Div. I Offensive MVP, the Super Centex Offensive Player of the Year and a finalist for the Mr. Texas Football Award. McCollum (6-4, 213) also held offers from Tulsa, Arkansas State and Sam Houston State, among others. read more: https://wacotrib.com/sports/high-school/football/china-springs-mccollum-announces-commitment-to-north-texas/article_d84cc408-2283-11ee-9ed0-4b9ff1797033.html
  3. Really like this idea. Even if you can’t make all the games buy season tickets to show your support.
  4. Yes 100 times yes! I wish there was a VIP area where we could post out minds on here and have for years.
  5. Eric Morris was born on October 26, 1985, in San Antonio, Texas. He played college football at Texas Tech University from 2004 to 2007. After college, he began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Texas Tech in 2008. He then served as an assistant coach at Washington State University (2012-2014), the University of Texas at El Paso (2015-2017), and the University of the Incarnate Word (2018-2022). In 2022, he was hired as the head coach of the University of North Texas Mean Green football team. Morris is known for his offensive-minded coaching style. He has a reputation for developing quarterbacks and running high-powered offenses. In his first season as head coach at North Texas, he led the Mean Green to a 7-5 record and a bowl game appearance. Morris is a rising star in the coaching world. He is young, energetic, and has a bright future ahead of him.
  6. Has there ever been any explanation for this? Did the state decide to stop supporting us and lowered the budget or was this a decision Hurley made on his own. Hurley seems to have a real mixed bag of review. On the one hand many give him a lot of due credit for maneuvering UNT into a very large enrollment growth phase but he also seemed very short sided in terms of reinvesting back into the university through things like athletics and facilities. He seemed like a guy that always wanted to do things on the cheap. Again, that may not be his fault but the fact we had little political support in Austin and a budget to match.
  7. This is awesome. Great info @NT80. Thanks for sharing it. This could be a huge deal for UNT and I love that they accepted our logo's etc unlike the south Dallas facility who basically shunned us.
  8. Good question but won't really likely know until we have a couple of games to evaluate would be my guess. I sure hope they can at least coach as good as Seth's staff.
  9. Do we have any late additions that are not showing up on the roster right now who might be able to make an impact?
  10. Have you read the letter? This is not some bullshit accusation, this law firm is very well respected and isn’t jumping in this if there is not a very good chance they will win. Not a good situation for Wren nonetheless.
