Friday the 27th after having read about the ticket situation on this board, I e-mailed RV, from Estes Park Co, at what would be just after midnight (Saturday morning) in Denton. When I left town on the 20th of Dec I went by the ticket office and was told they would be mailed (I had placed my mail on hold) and did not plan on returning until late on the 29th. I had no plans on going to Dallas until game day. I received an e-mail from RV the next morning that had an aprox 6 am send time and was told I could pick them up by noon on Monday at the ticket office. They were available as promised. I have no complaints and believe that RV and the AD staff did a great job of correcting the ticket situation. Seriously, how many AD's would personally handle this type of problem? I heard no excuses only solutions.

They told me at the ticket office yesterday that they were still prioritizing tickets and planned on mailing them today.

Currently LSU leads the Southland Conference at 3-0 [not one of the SLC teams has a winning record and LSU has 5 wins overall] with one game left against McNeese. If they win Johnny Jones may be the Southland Coach of the Year.

Royal Furgeson addressed the Denton County Bar recently. As I recall he said tuition would be around $12000, anyone who teaches must have practiced law for 10 years, first class 100-120 students, will try to be accredited in year three and if not then year four etc., and emphasis on diversity. Said a lot more but that is a synopsis of what I remember. As far as schools, if I wanted to ultimately live in this area I would go to UT, SMU, Baylor or Tech. I am not sure what to think about A&M. I have met some good Texas Wesleyan attorneys and A&M didn't pay $73 million to buy the school (excluding the building) for any reason other than to make it the best money can buy. I would not recommend UH to anyone.

1) Ways to liven up the opening festivities before games. (ex. get a real eagle and teach it to fly onto the field, then release a live rat from a cage that is painted in the opponents colors at mid field and watch as the eagle grabs and devours the rat to the delight of the crowd). 2) Begin a daily countdown to membership in CUSA (suggestion: starting at 75 post the picture of the best NT player to wear that number and put the word days beneath. Anyone know a player for 74?). 3) Celebrity appearances (suggestion: have Mean Joe challenge David Letterman to an arm wrestling match at mid field when we play Ball State either pre-game or halftime and if Dave wins Joe buys him a coke and if Joe wins Joe buys Dave a coke--this would have to be initiated well before the game). 4) Discuss whether UNT 90 and Skivdrew are actually one and the same person. They are so much alike that I would take the affirmative. Any other suggestions or comments?
