I can't help but wonder how many of those are longhorn fans who bought our season tickets so that they could buy UT tickets first, not realizing that the $80 for season tickets is more than the $50 for non-season ticket holders to buy UT tickets.

I think they're supplying the pot. Ricky Williams- UT running back who left the league because he couldn't leave the pot alone Cedric Benson-UT running back who may or may not be a pot head but he did enter a residence to "recover" his plasma screen TV. Everyone I know calls that burglary. Ramonce Taylor-UT running back who is leaving the school because of pot possession charges. All I'm saying is this, if Selvin Young or Jamaal Charles get caught burglarizing a residence to "recover" their pot red flags should go up.

Oh I'll be DVR'ing it too. The chance to see us play the ponies and then watch UT lose will make for a great night. Seriously though, if you're a NT fan shouldn't/wouldn't you forsake everything else? I know that you'll be there but why wouldn't the rest of them?

Yes, in high school he was all world...against high school competition. At Texas he played behind a massive line and had Roy Williams and company to take the pressure off of the running game...and still didn't win the big game. If I'm not mistaken they were o-fer against Oklahoma were they not...so much for carrying a team. In addition he lacks the breakaway speed of a better back like an AP or even J-Mo. But, of course, because he played for UT he was anointed to be superman. It amuses me how questioning UT on this board leads to being branded "anti-Texan" or having an "inferiority complex." I'm not anti-UT, I'm anti-leming.

I know you're a UT fan but please tell me how Texas is better than Ohio State, USC, and Notre Dame. They'd have to be better than 2 out of 3 of these teams to be #2. And before anyone bags on Notre Dame please remember that they DO have a quarterback (Heisman frontrunner) and a real coach, not some guy named Mack Brown who had his career made by Vince Young.

I'm posting this on both boards to see what the feedback looks like. Hypothetically, if it were possible, who would win if we were to take an "all-star" team from both North Texas and Middle Tennessee from over the last 5 years. That's all the years we've been in the Sun Belt together and the games have been pretty close. From MTSU you'd have guys like Dwone Hicks, Clint Marks, their great wideouts, etc. and from NT you'd have Brandon Kennedy, P. Cobbs, Jamario Thomas, Scott Hall etc. So, who wins? Who would be on your team?

From the little bit I was able to talk to Rick V I am encouraged. He stated that right now getting an indoor practice facility for basketball, looking at baseball and getting the other projects which are in place finished is the main goal. After that we'll go forward with a plan to build a stadium. I can't say I disagree with his priorities. While Fouts is a hole it is at least football specific and usable. We've got to get all of our other athletes into homes of their own and give them a place to practice before we look to a new stadium.
