I sure hope it's these bowls in order: HoD, Military and Hawaii. HoD and military bowls first for selfish reasons and being able to go to the game, but also think Hawaii wouldn't be bad either. Hawaii being that the players would get a chance to go to Hawaii, I'm sure a lot of those guys have never been. A great vacation and reward for all their hard work. The down side of Hawaii, I wouldn't be able to go to the game unfortunately.

Call me crazy or maybe I've been drinking out of the Mean Green Gatorade bottles too much, but I truly feel that this team and the excitement around our bowl game, we can and will win against any of these teams! Great games and all very close but we will win this. The UTSA game woke us up and refocused this team! I hope Michigan comes to town and we prove just how good this team is and how we can compete

Couldn't agree more. Next year CUSA is basically the old Sunbelt, slightly improved. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we are now in CUSA but I really hope we get invited to the American Conference, or possibly the Big12 later on down the road. I know we are not even close to being invited to the Big12, but with some consistency and having B2B winning seasons like this year, I don't see why we at least don't get invited to American Conference and possibly Big12. Again, I"m still glad we are currently in CUSA, even if it's almost like the Sunbelt. CUSA is actually a great conference for us at this time of building our program. We can and will continue our success season after season in the conference and not be bottom feeders! This will eventually get us where we all want to be!!

Wow, I didn't realize we beat TT and Boise State in the same year in 99'. At the end of the video he says that NT has a bright future... we sure did have a great future until some where around 2008 or so when we started with Dodge!!! Thank goodness that is over and our program now has a solid foundation to support and continue with these successes. The stadium, quality of new coaches and etc is what we needed to continue the momentum. We really need to continue with facilities, uniforms and etc so we don't continue to improve our value to future recruits. My worry is come complacent, think our facilities and all will be good enough for the next 20 years, and we don't continue to improve our facilities. Time will tell but it sure looks and feels different than anything before. Go Mean Green!!

While I respect their program and all, Rice is one of the smallest size schools in DI (I believe around 3500 students), as I'm sure you saw that stat during the Tulsa game. NT has nearly 40,000 students which means we have a ton of alumni, and I would bet, a majority of them still live pretty close to the DFW area. All we need to do is continue these winning seasons, have a couple B2B seasons similar to this years, and we will see the sleeping giant awaken!! Invite and bring everyone you know. Tell them about this season, new coach, new stadium and etc if they haven't been following and get them excited! It's time and a lot of people are just waiting. Let's stop that waiting for them and get them as excited as we are about this program! I'm so glad we are in our position with so much upside than a team like those ponies and etc in Dallas. I remember going to the NT TCU game in FW the last time we played them there and they had a lot less fans at their games at the time than we do right now! They were also winning and were either in the WAC or MWC. I also watched some of the film on Brock Berglund, he is a stud too, as well as Dajon Williams at QB. One of those guys should be able to carry this winning torch! We are going to have a squad for a long time to come! Get excited and bring your NT friends/family. See ya at the game Go Mean Green!

Why do you say Texas State, that sounds horrible. They were 6-6 yes, but they were 2-5 in the Sun Belt. Let's quit talking about them playing us in a bowl please! Not a good game and wouldn't be a good deal ($) for the bowl

I know it's a little hard to think about recruits from Big 12 and ConfUSA but I see your logic and would agree with it. Just depends if TCU can start winning quickly in their first couple seasons in the Big12. If they can start winning and be in the running for Big12 championships then this isn't the case. But if they have similar seasons more regularly like they did this year, then recruits would be better off playing at North Texas. Especially if we continue to have seasons like we did this year. I really believe that if we can get a couple seasons in a row like this year, keep Mac for a long time, we will be invited to join the American Conference. I would love to see us playing for that conference. Later, being invited to the Big12 as well.

So is he going to be on our team next year for sure? Sorry but I do not know anything about this guy. Thanks for the information. If he is going to be on the Mean Green team next year, this will be great news because I don't know who will fill or be able to fill Orr's big shoes!

I was looking today at the rankings and noticed this preseason article. What I found interesting was their view on our 2013 season and what would be a "dream season" and what would a "nightmare season" look like. Looks like we are having an "orgasmatic season" lol Let's pack this thing this weekend come rain or shine. I have already invited and have commitments of 17 friends and collegues of mine. One area I haven't heard anything about is the play of our offensive line. Congrats to those big hogs up front!! They have been doing a great job all year and yesterday some of those holes to run through were ginormous!!

We really need both of them at this point in the season. Losing Smith especially is huge. Wish DT would have given him at least a chance with that play. Anyway, if we are forced to move on without them, at least until they can heal up, one bright side is it gives some other younger guys some PT and game experience fir next year. But gosh I hope Smith is going to be okay and ready for next week.

Does conference USA have a game where East vs West play for CUSA championship? I believe some other conferences have games like this. Kinda would like to have a game like this, would bring in extra monies for the conference as well.

Yeah it's not going to be close. I'm interested in watching it to see UTEPs play makers and their type of offense and defense. We shouldn't have a problem with them next week but you never know in college football.

Love this guys effort and sure tackle skills. Nice knowing we'll have him for a couple more years. Will be really nice when he is a senior and is a little thicker as well.

When is the power rankings list released? I'm anxiously waiting myself... I can't believe how well we are doing this year

Be nice to see how their team is playing right now and who they will have healthy for our Homecoming game with them next Saturday! I think it will be nice to see who are their play makers. Unfortunately I haven't seen them play all year
