Also, please don't come out playing conservative. Take it to them early, mix up the play calling on first down! Get them on their heels early and we will win in Apogee!!

Either way, I think we are going to be just fine with our stable of backs. Let's just hope the play calling is effective and DT is on! If these two areas are good, we'll be able to take care of business. Thank goodness we are as healthy as we are and..... We are playing in our house, that is huge!!! I'll be there loud and proud!!

What I think this game tells us all, more than anything, is the character and the will to win! The play of special teams and never giving up is huge. Every coach will tell you that in big games special teams and turn overs are so important to win games like this. And our special teams answered that phone call. I love it. we need to show them love and be at the game loud and strong when they come back to Apogee Stadium to whoop MUTS!!! Go Mean Green Fellas!!!

Thanks for the information but lets not worry about what they think of us. They will play the rest of the year and realize that we are really that good and that much improved. They will also see this when we win CUSA and win our bowl game! Not interested in them trying to protect their team and all.

To each their own..... Look at other teams jerseys and then think about ours, not even close! Our regular jerseys are just okay but the ones today are pretty bad! Look at TCU's OSU's and Oregon's.... freaking rocks!! i thought our Under Armour jerseys were super awesome

I love the white helmets but the flying worm is freaking horrible. The overall look of our jerseys right now are pretty embarrassing.

I wish someone, if someone hasn't already, would send these new uniform pictures to Coach Dan and RV and see what they say. I think these looks sweet!!! I'm not a fan at all of our current uniforms. Our green jerseys need to have the lighter green, like the basketball teams jerseys and they need to be put with black, the green looks great with black uniforms and it goes with the whole "Mean" Green!! I'm not trying to say that I'm the worlds best marketer but my degree is in marketing and I am the VP of a large company. I do know a little about branding and marketing. In todays world with very competitive recruiting the younger recruits want the new hip uniforms. We have the right colors, and now the facilities, lets put the icing on the cake and do it right!!

As Booger said on the old school movie, Revenge of the Nerds.... "I've been out combing the High Schools all day." We are going to have a good turn out, even if they are all 12-15 yrs old.

I agree. He can be great at times, and other times you wonder where the hell his head is at? I left the game last week against Troy so pissed at his performance. He seems to really play bad at home lately

This is why this particular game is so frustrating!! When you have more First Downs, Total Yards, and etc, and you still come away empty handed, man does it hurt. This loss hurts but I like the fact that we arent excepting it. We have moved on, and should have, from all the past comments of how good the other team was and how close we played them. It's time to win all of our Sun Belt games!! Our mental mistakes are killing us, player and coaching mental mistakes. I just hope this is a wakeup call for our team that we haven't arrived yet.

We have a very special group and we will only get better. We dominated the O & D lines in this game and in the LSU game..... I'm blown away when I watch them drive these top 20 teams back! Great feeling and you cant help but be optimistic about our future. These are the areas I feel cost us tonight: 1. Special Teams 2. Linebackers and Secondary on play action pass plays. Although we were a step behind in these areas, we played really well. But I agree with Coach Mac that we should go into each game expected to win and our expectations of winning have changed. This team is hungry to win and they will be very special this year in Sunbelt play. Next year we will be ready for Conference USA and should have a legitimate shot at a conference championship! i'm a DT fan since he is the best we have right now. i'm also very excited about having Burgland though. He seems like the perfect QB for Canalas's offense. It will be a battle come next spring that will only make them both better. This is what Coach Mac said we needed, depth and competition within the various positions. Good stuff

i agree, not as strong as normal. He seems to play great during big games and average against lower tier teams.

Agree... this team that has been assembled is very talented and unselfish... Zac is the nicest guys around and comes from a great family and is willing to do anything for this team to see it win. Knowing him and how young he is makes me regret ever posting any negative posts on here about players we had in the past. It's easy to forget that these guys are still young men and a lot of pressure is put on them. We also need to remember this is only the 2nd year under Coach Mac. I wish him and the rest of the guys the very best, they'll exceed all of our expectations.

what this article didnt get correct is the fact that he started on both sides of the ball his Jr and Sr years in Sherman. He was the starting RB, Safety and some CB and was very good. Plenty of speed to do the job. I'm sure the old tools for this position will come back fairly quick. LSU will see to that. I played with his older brother in Sherman, Jerwayne Parker, which played those same positions. All I had to do is get him the ball and he was gone!!! He was an unreal athlete as well.

I like this idea but if we are going to do it, then we need to do it right. Like we did with our stadium. An indoor facility that matches the stadium, made with some or mostly brick, and not just a bubble that looks very cheap over time. Baseball can come later. Football is the largest sport and can raise the most money for NT athletics. The money we eventually make, through going to bowl games and etc., will give us more funds to start the baseball program and facilities the right way. Rick V. has done a tremendous job and I'm sure he will see that it's done the right way. Now that we will be entering into CUSA, there should be more money as well for our program..... It's an exciting time to be a NT fan and the future looks even brighter!!! Go Mean Green
