I hope we do something different with our face-masks like UTSA. The picture that had the filter turned on for our new helmet made the face-mask look cool! We are still going to look sharp this year, can't wait to see it tomorrow night

Yes, the offenses have started pretty slow. Offenses at the beginning of the season are usually a little behind the defenses and not in sync. I also believe these are two really good defenses with strong D-Lines.

I like how the ESPN announcers are now questioning how good Houston is this year. They had a great year last year with most of their key guys coming back. I really think it's not Houston. It's more like UTSA is really that good this year and people are really just starting to see it. I felt the same way until we played them. I do feel that we could have beat them, we didn't play well that game. I'm glad they are in our conference and hope we spank em!

Thank god we have Apogee! We couldn't recruit these days if we were still playing in Fouts! Apogee was needed more than can imagine! I bet in 10 years Apogee will be on the low end of average for mid-level FBS football teams considering how nice the new stadiums are being built; again I'm only referring FBS teams

This UTSA team looks freaking good on Defense! This is a pretty good Houston team and they are making a game of it! Their defense, all of them, fly to the ball and are scrappy! Remind me of our team last year! I watched a special on them a couple weeks ago and this is the first group of Seniors they have had. The seniors mentioned this year is the first year they are eligible to go to a bowl game and get a ring... They are on a mission this year, we better be ready!!

Conference USA's UTSA plays at Houston tonight on ESPNU at 8pm. We all have a grudge against these guys so I can't wait to watch this game tonight and see how they look! I hope we spank them at their house this year and keep them from going anywhere for post season play. Go Mean Green!

Last night Vandy had over 5 turnovers and Temple took advantage of it.. Beating them by nearly 30 points. Turnovers and owning this is why we were so good last year.. And our Defense was awesome, go hit ya in the mouth type guys!

I kinda feel like this is a form of prostitution! We are,supposed to go down there and perform, get used, and take some of their laying around dollars for the service!! But.... I won't feel that way when the prostitute pimp slaps the pimp and takes his money, all while we are in the pimps house!!

Exactly! If we can pull this out with Texas, on their home field, we would have everyone respecting our program and putting butts in iur stadium! Not to mention all the money! Key to it all, win baby win!!

Or you get a team like Coach Mac is establishing, a hard nosed football team, and you then go to these money games and hopefully kick their butt and take their guaranteed money like Temple did last night!! That gives you both, attendance when you come back home and the money! I just wish football could keep more of it and do other things to help continue the growth!

It's a shame a local paper would write this. I can tell you I will never buy a Dallas Morning News paper as long as this is the case. Not a dime!! After we prove them wrong I'll write them an email on Monday explaining my position and reasons for not buying their paper. Two reasons, lack of respect and lack of knowledge when it comes to sports! North Texas or NT is way better. I don't care for UNT, just doesn't look or sound as cool. I'm also glad we use Mean Green, it's unique and sounds great. Don't really care for Eagles, kinda gay!

Great episode as usual, very well done. I hope they continue this for many years to come. I noticed Coach Mac mentioning the importance of "True" leadership and not just a person who yells all the time! We all know the ones that filled that role last year, but who is going to step it up this year?! I think we need more to step up. I'm confident that one of these leaders is Mason Y'Barbo! You can tell he is a true leader and he did a great job showing this on episode one. We just need more on both sides.... Maybe Lee?!

This is great to be on Longhorn Network, good visibility. I had forgotten how slow of a start we got in the HOD game. Tons of penalties on us in the 1st quarter which was not usually the case last year!! Gosh, what a fun freaking year it was to be a Mean Green Fan! Hoping 2014 will be another special year! If it is, especially with our team being so young, we are in for several more years of good times.....winning sure is fun!!

They forgot to put green on them!! No worries, those white helmets will have plenty green and/oror black on them in a few weeks from now!!

I feel like I just had Christmas early!! Soooo happy it's Greer and not MiniMac! I wish MiniMac well but really have been pulling for Greer to get the start this year! The real exciting news as well is the fact that he will have starting experience as a Sophomore!!! Great to see and should have a bright future!! I don't care if I will shoot my eye out, I wanted that Red Rider BB gun and I got it for Christmas!! I can't wait to see the gun shoot come this Saturday in Austin!!

Called the athletic dept on Friday and ordered 2 season tickets for section 106. The good news, it's the last two in that section that are seated next to each other. He couldn't tell me the exact number but did say they are nearly double from last year! Continue this trend and it's going to be an awesome atmosphere! He also indicated the SMU game is basically sold out, they are just developing some promotions to sell the wing section now. Really looking forward to the 1st home game.

I like it but the look with the filter is the look I wish we would shoot for. Whatever it is....gloss and/or chrome. This helmet is way better than the green of the past but we can see how much better it can be if we make it more like the filter look
