I think everyone is really jumping the gun on this. Recruiting rankings are weighed hugely in any decisions an AD in hiring/firing coaches. Butch Davis has a top 5 class already for next year, and that is one of the reasons many people think he could be back next year. Who knows, but when you measure us against our peers, the staff doesn't look like world beaters on the recruiting front. But, if we go 9-3, it may show that they can win with any kids. Still.......have to slow our roll until this season pans at as we all hope.

How many people actually hang on to their student id just to get into North Texas athletic events for free? Can't be that many! let them show the id and let them in!!!

Good to see volleyball had a standing room only crowd against OU. That little place gets loud with 75 people in it, can't imagine the volume w/ 719.

I think the O-line is the big difference. I think the line in '13 was much better. Fine is getting away with throwing off his back foot quite a bit. He did it last year, but it seems our receivers are getting better separation and have the ability to get to some of those throws this year.

Ad's look very hard at the recruiting rankings. Until we are dominating consistently on the field and in the rankings, Seth will be here. When Mason is a senior and we go 10-2, that's his ticket to a $4mm payday somewhere. He's close to home, lives in a great city, and he makes a very nice living. Let's slow the roll about him leaving. That kinda talk will jinx us against utsa....it's stupid but true!!

Other than not having the play clock, I thought the whole thing was worth the $7. I never had any issues for the second time using the site. I'll definitely not hesitate to use it again. Sorry so many of you had troubles.

Playing Southern and ULM is a joke...let's not overestimate those wins. They are 2-1 due to scheduling. They'd be 1-3 or 2-2 like us w/ the same schedule. That being said, I'm scared of this game.

We better improve on 3rd down or we'll be in trouble. They will chew up the clock and keep our defense on the field a long time. I'd like to see us think about 4 down territory a bit more. Don't be so happy w/ a pooch punt or a crappy FG attempt that will get blocked. Iowa was very aggressive on 4th down against us.

Our blitzes have to get there faster. Our Db's are sitting ducks out there against receiver that has slightly above avg speed. They just can't keep up w/ the deep ball.

Everything on that list makes it seem Iowa should be in the top 5 in the polls. Regardless, it does smell like a rough beating.
