The artificial field turf/grass at Fouts right now slows down speed a great deal... I remember back in high school we played on the old style turf one game and I felt like a speedster... and then the next game will played on artificial grass (the stuff at fouts right now) and let me tell you I felt like I was trying to run in sand.

Sounds good... more original than Indians.

Homecoming game against La Monroe in 2002. I think NT won something like 54-2. Cobbs and Galbreath owned the field that day.

I'm looking at this upcoming game against Texas pretty optimistically... the way I see it: We have been running up the middle and running the draw over and over to make Texas think we will do it again this year, NO SIR!!! This was all Dickey's plan (for the past 8 years)... this will be the ultimate set up, get ready TEXAS!!!!! They think they know whats coming down to Austin this year but they have no idea!

Like I posted acouple months back... the University of Phoenix has a pretty stout team coming back this year. Scheduling this powerhouse might be a problem as the University of Phoenix plays at a neighboring high school's soccer field... but don't knock their talent! Supposedly they scrimmaged a high school team out of FLORIDA, yeah I said Florida and UP won 21-17.

I think the stadium up at UTAH is really nice... would work great here at NT. Just leave out endzone seating on one side so the new athletic center is visible and possibly even connected to the staidum.

This game will probably be on FOX SPORTS SOUTHWEST. Texas is coming off a national championship, no way FOX SPORTS will let this go by untelevised.

The Spring Game would be a great time to throw a mini MEAN GREEN village and get everyone around the North Texas area excited about the upcoming MEAN GREEN football season. Have a bar-b-que... bring back beerman... and push season tickets. This is such a wasted opportunity.
