i don't care about TOP. what impressed me was our converting 3rd down percentage and our ability to run the ball. doubt we play against a defensive line like this the rest of the season.

All true but good teams find ways to win. Everything you listed is why we went 2-10 last year. Nobody in this league scares me.......well, except us. We kill me.

Count me as one who doesn't like it. I'm all for putting the coach under pressure, especially one who hasn't met expectations but i don't see how a win total accomplishes that. My biggest worry is that at the midpoint we have three wins and maybe Tune gives us a slightly bettter chance to win but obviously Thompson is the future. I know that is a hypothetical but I'd hate to see short term decisions made based on a line in the sand. I'd rather just the word from RV get out that we have to be better, significantly better, or heads will roll. Just not sure about the win total thing. Not to mention RV has just opened up a can of worms. He'll get a lot of questions if we are 6-5 going into that last game.

Not as big that's for sure, maybe 40-50 in the first couple of years. Maybe even 10-25 that first year. But there were some doozy threads back then. First everyone was shocked that there actually were other diehard mean greeners (i know i was glad not to be alone and crazy) and there were always new people finding the board with some hot opinions. There should be a thread with names from over the years that got things stirred up. Soilent Green and Tic Vanilla are two i remember. It's been a soap opera (yeah i've played my part) for sure but the good times and good friends always made it worth it. Thanks Harry!.

Spector and great should not be allowed in the same sentence. Both he and Altidore were not very good in the Premier league. But somehow Jozy raises his game at the international level. However Bornstein scares the hell out of me. Prefer neither sees the field. I'd play Buddle. Then again i usually disagree with bradley 90% of the time and we still won the group. sorry, gonna be watching the game in montana. ugh, wish i was watching the game in victory park, that sounds fun. USA is gonna have to give a defensive performace like they did again spain in the confeds cup. midfielders are gonna have to block those long shots and howard cannot make a mistake. worried about set pieces with gooch and demerit. they just aren't 100 percent.

I'll say this. The England-USA game is the most anticipated soccer game in my lifetime. The Germany-USA quarterfinal in 2002 was huge but it didn't have the buildup like this. I can't stand it....9 days and counting.

I guess you could say a HOFer is a HOFer no matter what the ballot but there are certainly other players from that era that i think of first. As for him being the best qb since 83? Not sure what to say to that.....
