This would have made me giddy in 2006 but now it doesn't do as much for me. I think he's definitely a step up tactic-wise from Bob but he doesn't seem to be much of a rah-rah rally US Soccer kind of guy. This has been a rumor for so long, the hire doesn't even make a splash. He's gotta find a consistent back four, decide who his midfield is and pick one or two strikers from a list that for the most part, don't even start for their club team. My only hope is he lives with the growing pains and starts playing younger options.

It was time for Bradley to go but we have a sorry backline and not a single consistent option at striker. Whoever is the coach isn't going to win with problems like that. We'll still get to the next world cup because of CONCACAF but i think the next 2-4 years are gonna be a struggle for the MNT.

Good grief why the panic over playing Texas Southern next year? We play a I-AA about every 6 years. I for one am looking forward to smacking somebody around for once.

Evan and I are taking our talents to South Beach for this game. But a watching party at the stadium sounds fun. Can't go wrong either way.

Disappointing? It was horrible. You're right they didn't even show the home side and a couple of the pictures were close ups of workers working on the stadium. Who wants to see that? They were awful.

JaQuay got off to a slow start because DD insisted on playing Tubby Coleman over JaQuay. Drove me insane. DD finally came around and Wilburn had a great second half of the season. It was a stupid non-conference schedule but i think we should've won more games than we did. There were some good players on that team.

Appreciate the honest replys. Am i glad that JJ has raised the program to where a 16-7 record somehow seems a little disappointing? Absolutely. Like i've posted in years before, i was just hoping for that one 24-4 season where we get an #12 seed or better and have a team ready to make some real noise. Just one, pleasse. Those are lofty expectations i know but this was the year i thought that was possible. Year is definitely not over, but somehow feels a little disappointing considering it's these guys last run. You keep trying to point out that this happened one time so it can/will happen again. Sure it could happen again but is that what you hope happens, not looking at the situation and trying to logicaly figure out what will probably happen. This team is not playing well and a sweep of Feb (obviously not going to happen with a loss last night) isn't likely. Defense is horrible right now and are you really expecting a run to the tournament? Based on the team's play? One and done is a bit of an overreaction but i could see us getting bounced in the semis rather easily. We certainly don't scare anybody. Drives me crazy there isn't an area between JJ sucks and worshipping the ground JJ walks on.

I don't have a problem with the Denia Association wanting to have a say. However they need to be reasonable and i'm not sure that expecting no traffic on gamedays to affect their neighborhood is realistic. As someone else said, have you ever been to Norman on gameday? Hell, any Div I program is going to create traffic on gameday. My HUGE problem with this editorial by the DRC is that they (DRC) say they have no idea which plan put forth is better or more reasonable but hey, we're gonna side with the Denia neighborhood. What kind of newspaper says they no nothing about the subject but chooses a side and writes an editorial about it. Isn't an editorial supposed to be a analysis of the facts and then giving an opinion? What a load of crap. And Harry, unless i'm mistaken, this is a DRC editorial. It was issued by the DRC, not anyone from Denia.
