Alumni crowd did not suck for this game. It was average...nothing more, nothing less. The students do deserve props for showing up in force though. That Wedel kid got abused by them all night. The attendance for the game was good overall. The number is probably a bit inflated, but who cares. We won both games big, and the crowd was actually into the game for the most part. I always consider that a win.

It is in every ticker this morning on the Ticket. They even played Johnny Jones audio clips about the crowd support in a couple of them.

I think a case could definitely be made for Robert Lee. ULL started off pretty poorly this year (I was critical of them several times), but once conference play came around, they seemed to get it together. Would've been easy to let the season get away from them based off of the way they started.

What was the name of that tight end that ate our lunch? I wanna say Garrett Mills or something like that. That was one of the worst game experiences watching a NT football game.

This guy sounds like a nice player. Anyone know the story here?

I feel good cause we're at home, however, I really fear "coming out flat" during the early stages of the game. This is a game that we should win, but this team has showed some inconsistency throughout the year. I think that the guys need to come at ASU full throttle and take control of the game early. You have to imagine that the crowd will be into this game, and if we can play our pace of game early, I will feel a lot better. Step on their throat early and don't let up until the final buzzer. Next stop: Mobile.

That reason has been Bo He's been NT kryptonite for years. I'll sure be glad to see him move towards the pros. Here's to hoping that the guys finish these last two regular season games strong.

I'm not either. ULL started out pretty rough this year, but once conference play rolled around, it seemed like they got it together. Playing at the Cajun Dome is never an easy task. I'm still hoping that our guys respond with consistency in these last two road games. Neither ULL or NO are pushovers.

I like this list overall. However, I could certainly be talked into trading MTSU for ULLa. Of course that leaves Troy pretty far out there with no one really near them.

Not to derail, but I love "Fly by Goose". Makes me giggle.

Good recap as usual CBL. Hopefully we end up with the scenario that you laid out where NT wins out with ULL winning over UALR. I'd really like to avoid even having to play a host round game.

It does seem like he's been there forever. I was hoping that his dabbling in the NBA draft last year would stick...oh well.

I'd really like to see your 2nd scenario play out. I'd feel a lot better with Troy, ULM, or ASU in the opening round of the Tourney. I hate the idea of playing at UNO in the 1st round. We've had too many bad experiences with UNO in the past few years (McCalebb specifically). That being said, when we are playing as a cohesive unit, we can match up with anyone in the Belt. We dominated that game last night...I'd like to see a few more of those types of performances going into the Tournament. It would certainly go a long way to easing my mind about our chances.

Please don't say that. NT always has problems with McCalebb and the Privateers. Oustide of USA & WKU, UNO is the team that I least want to see come SBC Tourney time. They are like NT kryptonite (at least McCalebb is).

Got into this thread late but I wanted to give this post it's due credit. Emmitt, you made a funny.

That Denver is an unathletic team. Their guys seem to get themselves into good position, but that team is loaded with stiffs. It seemed that NT was able to dictate the pace of this game much better than our previous matchup with them. I was really happy to see that we didn't allow Denver to "junk up the game" nearly as much. As Chris pointed out in an earlier post, this game was decided by our Bigs. Williams had a big game...they had absolutely no answer for us in the paint. I want to see more of this coming down the stretch. Our big men are what seperates NT from most of the other Belt teams. We need to exploit that.
