Not that I post much, but I came across this kid, and found he has not decided on a home, and thought....hey UNT is a good place to play!

I know he is looking at Abilene Christian, Tarlten State, Midwestern, and La-La...seems like UNT might be a good fit for him, his name is Marlin Miller a Senior at Rowlett H.S.

Let me know your thoughts

I live in Rowlett and agree that this is a very good athlete.

Here is the problem as I see it. He was a DB until his senior year when they switched him to WR. We loaded up on athletes last year who will be defensive backs this coming fall. We have about four redshirt freshmen that are about Miller's size and speed with four years ahead of them. We don't throw the ball enough to use him at WR and again, we are pretty well set this year at that position. Of course, next year Joel Nwigwe will be gone and I think that he's the only one that MIGHT be faster. As far as return specialist, I believe that is the plans for the Kaufman speedster Neal.

If we threw the ball more I'd like to see him at wide receiver. However, we seem intent to load up on linemen, which isn't all bad.

NT has already commited their ships for this year, might have saved one.  I would encourage this kids HS coach contact NT about walking on next year.  Send stats, speed, video to the NT coach at his position.

Well I just heard from a reliable source that Marlin Miller just signed with the Ragin Cajuns....I think we will all be looking back this coming Nov 11th when we see him in action in Cajun Country and surprised how he slipped through our fingers.
