  1. UNT was mentioned today. The announces said something about the Mean Green!
  2. 12 of the 13 FCS conferences plan to play in the spring. The Ivy League won’t participate in the spring season. https://herosports.com/fcs-football-conferences-2021-spring-season-formats-bzbz/
  3. Just imagine the college jersey collection he will have by the time he is through?
  4. Honestly, I thought they were at first. Would be interesting to see where UTSA came up with the $ to add 6
  5. @97and03Quality Control and Analyst are different. QC are "coaches" and allowed different responsibilities. Found this explanation. Also gave an example now where UTSA is up to 6 QC and Analysts mostly watch film, break it down, lol for tendencies, stuff like that. They do specific tasks for the OC during the week and then sit in the box during games and look for things like defensive formations, players, etc. OC does everything. Watch film, create gameplans, plan practices, work with position coaches on what their players need to do for each weeks gameplan, evaluate throughout the week, asses and edit the game plan at the beginning of the week and polish it by the end, call plays and a ton of other small tasks (including recruiting).
  6. I guess I just try to look for the positives in the program. If it had been reported that we were in bad shape people would have been yelling and complaining he didn't have control and the salaries were killing us.
  7. Yes. You have a budget. You have you streams of income (like other programs). Did you manage it well under the conditions faced - Yes.
  8. Actually the story of all G5 programs. If your coaches and AD do well they will probably be hired away. But better to have them move on for good things than have to get rid of them cause things are bad.
  9. 100%. I think overall many G5 ADs were in a better position as they have had to deal with tight budgets. At the very beginning of the season there were many stories about P5 schools having to take out massive loans.
  10. That's good. Too many people confuse mot of what's on CNN, FOX, and MSNBC as "news" versus opinion. Choose what you like or feel comfortable with, but it definitely seems like there are not too many places left to hear actual news reporting.
  11. The Tesla dealership in West El Paso is a small building . Goes to show when you have a product people want you don't have to have a giant showroom. @MDH How has it drove?
  12. I guess that is a yes - https://meangreensports.com/facilities/darrell-r-dickey-football-practice-facility/11
  13. As some point we're all going to have to accept that "resources" do not seem to be high on the list of many G5 recruits. Sorry, but at this time the Belt is considered a much better conference
  14. Not sure I would say analysts are not trusted at SEC schools. Sakkisian was one, Butch Jones was one. What the schools with the money have done is find a way of adding coaches. Alabama has 12. LSU has 10. Hell, even UTSA has a couple now. They split responsibilities up and allow the on field coaches to lighten their off-field loads. https://tdalabamamag.com/2019/10/01/alabama-analysts/
  15. Just wondering, is it normal for NFL position coaches to move around as much as College coaches do?
