    I thought the same thing. He actually knew the players, the latest news on transfers/coaches, etc. I was impressed with how closely he followed the team.

    He’s been coaching for a while. I’m sure he has connections with good people that would like to coach with him. It’s a recruiting pitch… just like to prospective players.

    He did a nice job. I don’t remember getting interview time on 105.3 before. The NIT Championship clearly helps.

    I saw a tweet claiming that every single D1 school had reached out to TP. Seems as though he’s wanted. I dont know if its 400K, but it should be a good amount.

    MGN podcast mentioned that TT paid their players 2.2 million this past season….they didn’t even play in a post season tournament. Crazy money being spent.

    So glad we got to watch him play. Great player and seems to be an even greater person. Best of luck in the draft, or the portal. Hope he can find a way to elevate his game to another level. I’m a fan.

    Five years later: “Who was the coach when we won the NIT? Oh, that’s right, GMac. Man, that was a fun year. Glad he set the foundation for the back to back Nattys under Hodge.” The history books will remember GMac. He’s fine. The team is fine. Hodge is fine. The video is fire! I’m ready for next season!

    I’m sure there’s a reason he wasn’t playing…with the staff, it was usually about the defense. Would love for him to stay and contribute, but he needs to do what’s best for him.
