I just don’t believe the defense will be worse than last year. -another year in the strength program -more familiarity with the defense -added recruits/transfers (so far…some pieces will likely come in later) -our 2nd leading tackler is in the TP and he has one D1 offer. The young guys behind him will take that next step this defense requires.

I saw that, too. I don’t want our guys to leave, but I’d want them to play wherever they end up. Transferring to ride the bench sucks when they could be a contributor to our team.

We still haven’t heard about the 3rd commit from yesterday. I’m thinking we just landed our QB and a DL from yesterday. No info, just wishful thinking.

Great news! Welcome to the Mean Green!

I don’t have money to burn, but I set up monthly giving to the MGC. This is college athletics now. This is what we need to try and be competitive.

We’ve added two to the portal so far, I would think we could find a QB to come in and be effective.

I think I’ll remember Rogers 2023 season pretty fondly. I wish he’d stay for another year to solidify his mean green legacy, but that doesn’t take away how good a season he had for us. I just hope he plays wherever he ends up.

On the last coaching show, Morris mentioned not burning the redshirts just to burn them. I think if we continue to show we do what’s best for kids, the HS coaches will continue to believe in the Mean Green coaching staff. Yes, if they can play then play. If they’d benefit from 4 games then sit, then that’s what we’ll do.

I think it depends on the situation. If the player was encouraged to leave, I doubt they’ll come back. If they left on their own, and we still have a need at the position, then they are welcome back.

In hindsight, the mass exodus should/could have happened after he was hired. He was hesitant due to the team coming off of a 7 win season. This next season will truly be his team. Let’s see what happens when he has his recruited players. I’m disappointed in seeing some of our guys leave, but I’m excited to see next seasons on field product.

I see his Twitter handle on many new offers. I think he’s definitely putting in the work. If this is the new reality of G5’s, then get to work! I don’t necessarily love this new landscape of college football, but it is what it is.

He participated in Senior Day. I don’t think we (the fans) really know his plan.
